A(nother) Romance With Teeth!
This is another paranormal romance, but it’s got a wonderful twist. If you’ve read Bloody Temptations you’ve already met many of the characters, so I’ll give you a brief re-introduction to our main couple. Let me begin by stating that I received an advance copy of the book, but I am giving this review in my own words voluntarily.
Willan is a mage who works with his uncle Egbert at the store ‘The Magnifitestique Mage.’ Willan has a naughty sense of humor – he cracks a line about ‘ball handling’ in the first chapter, and though he’s referring to crystalline balls, you know he’s thinking about others. He remembers how his friend and fellow worker, Lusce, shares dirty jokes with him. Willan’s excited because his friends are introducing him to the bar Bloody Temptations, the hot spot, tonight. He hopes to see the two sexy vampires, the Hot Vampire Bros, who work and dance at the bar. His favorite, and his obsession, is Nikolo, or Nikki – who Willan knew when they were younger and lived with their clan in the mountains. Willan freezes, blowing the chance to see Nikolo.
Next, we’re re-introduced to Nikolo, as he visits the local second-hand shop, the Flimsy Sheath. The proprietor, Kroy, has a skewed sense of humor – but appreciates Nikolo’s assistance in getting merchandise on the racks, shelves, and hangers. For that, Kroy allows Nikolo to take a few things when he receives a large collection. While going through the boxes, Nikolo happens upon a necklace which reminds him of his…
Willan and Nikolo grew up together in the same clan. Nikolo was Willan's older brother's beast friend and scapegoat for all the trouble that they got into.
Nikolo was basically kickout of this clan when he was a teenager and became a vampire.
Willan had a crush on Nikolo and he has been trying to get the courage to talk to him at he bar where Nikolo works.
Their first meeting doesn't go as planned and rather a bumpy start. Once they decide to be friends sparks fly and things turn into so much more.
Mage and Vampire, brother's best friend, found family, family drama and a HEA.

Second Chances, Vampire Heat, and a Love Worth Kindling
⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5)
I fell hard for Willan and Nikolo’s second-chance supernatural romance. Mage and vampire is a pairing I’ve never read before, and it perfectly matches how unique their love story feels.
Nikolo and Willan belonged to the same clan until Nikolo was betrayed by his best friend — aka Willan’s older brother (seriously, the worst) — when they were teenagers. Willan had quietly pined for Nikolo and was heartbroken when he left, convinced he would never see him again. When they reunite as adults, thanks to mutual friends (so good to see Kai and Finn again!), Nikolo is now a vampire, and neither can deny the intense attraction between them.
While it’s a slow burn to the spicy scenes, the entire book feels sexy because of who Nikolo is. He’s one half of the Hot Vampire Bartenders, putting on Coyote Ugly–esque dances in costumes that leave little to the imagination at the bar where he works (I would die to see this). Add the tattoos covering his body and the inherent allure that comes with vampires, and he just oozes sex appeal.
Willan is no slouch either, with his beauty and powerful magic. His need to protect Nikolo had me melting, and only these two could turn what is possibly the sexiest — and most reverential — hair-braiding scene I’ve ever read into something unforgettable.
Beyond the chemistry, it’s the tenderness between them that stood out most. As a vampire, Nikolo no longer has access to the magic that once flowed through him, and Willan makes it his…

Paranormal romance that's equally spicy and heartwarming
"Magic Temptations" by Ali Woods is the second book in the "Lead Me to Temptation" series. It's an MM Paranormal romance that follows a mage as he reconnects with his childhood crush who's been turned into a vampire.
Ratings:
Overall: 5/5 hearts - This book, like the previous one in the series, checks all the boxes for me. There's romance, spice, magic, vampires, and it's set in an interesting world.
Peppers: 4/5 - This book felt slightly more spicy than the previous book.
Spice: 5/5 - The spice that's here, is great. There's a lot of variety in the scenes, which I really missed in book 1, and there's heaps of sexual tension that had me holding my breath.
Plot: 5/5
- Storyline: Like book 1, the storyline is pretty straight forward. It had a strong focus on the romance between the two characters and how their bond slowly develops over time. It's a nice, relaxing read when you want romance without world-ending stakes.
- Characters: Where book 1 focused on a host of characters, this book really seemed to focus on just the two mains and the occasional side character. With that said, they were all well written and it was easy to slip into their mindset and to understand their motivations.
- Writing: No issues with formatting, spelling, etc. Everything flowed well and I absolutely adored how each of the characters had a unique voice in their POV chapters. I feel like you could flip to a random page and know immediately who's POV you were in, just from the subtle language…
“I’ve Got You” Energy from Start to Finish
✨️ ARC REVIEW ✨️
This ARC finally got me to read Bloody Temptations, and now I’m fully invested in this world.
I dove straight into Magic Temptations and I still feel completely wrapped up in Nikolo and Willan. Being pulled back into their shared past while they try to figure out what they can be to each other now had me hooked from the start. Willan’s long-held feelings turning into a real second chance felt so rewarding, especially with how steady and patient he is with Nikolo. Meanwhile, Nikolo had me stressed in the beginning with his self-destructive tendencies, but it made those moments where he started to let someone in feel even more meaningful.
There’s this quiet, lingering ache throughout the story that comes from years of feelings left unsaid, and it made every step forward between them feel earned. I loved how their connection rebuilt slowly through friendship, small acts of care, and shared magic. It never felt rushed, just two people learning how to trust each other again in a way that felt soft and intentional.
The emotional moments really landed for me, especially when they showed up for each other in the most vulnerable ways. Those “I’ve got you” moments carried so much weight and made their bond feel both tender and unshakable. It’s comforting and heartfelt, while still bringing in just enough heat and tension to keep things engaging.
If you enjoy a slow-building romance with strong emotional payoff, this is absolutely worth picking up. 🖤
