First, before anything else, I just have to say, what the heck Ash!!! Good grief man. Ok, now that I have that off my chest… I absolutely love Ethan & Ash. I don’t even really know why I love them so much, I just do. There is something so special about these two characters and their story. And of course Alex’s writing is immaculate. This book was probably my most anticipated read of 2026 and it did not disappoint. Ash is right, Ethan is fire. He is a fierce little firecracker who will never stop going after what he wants. We saw this side of him bloom in When We Ignite and it was out in full force in From Our Ashes. He is a beautiful, tenacious soul and deserves every bit of joy life has to offer. Sebastian is his own worst enemy. It felt like he backtracked a bit from some of the progress he made in the first book, but he is the most fiercely loyal and caring person. And, yes, I mean that even while taking into consideration the situation with Luca. No one is perfect and mistakes can be made. I love Sebastian. He is the character who experiences the most growth in this book, and it was beautiful to see. A stunning conclusion to Ash & Ethan’s story. I highly recommend anything written by Alex Cross. 4⭐ I loved it. It was everything I needed it to be for Ethan & Ash ❤️. I loved confident Ethan. He grew up so much but was still sassy and made me laugh. My heart hurt for him after Ash left at the end of the first book but boy did he put Ash through it once they were back in the same city. He was relentless but HE GOT HIS MAN BACK!!!!! It was absolutely toxic at times but I 👏was👏here👏for👏it👏!!!!! These two have such great chemistry that you cannot deny they are meant to be together forever. No matter how much control Ash wants to have, he cannot stay away. He’s drawn to Ethan even without realizing it. This is one long hard fought HEA with a lot of drama and bad choices, but in the end, Ash and Ethan are perfect together. Let me also add, I LOVE HENRY!!!!! Please Alex, tell us he’s going to get his own story. He’s easily one of my favorite side characters that needs to be a main character. I love him so much

I DEVOURED this book. I have been waiting since LAST YEAR when I finished When We Ignite. . The author did a fanastic job of showing the growth of both Ash and Ethan. Ethan really surprised me in this book. He held his own with Ash, proved he was s savvy businessman, and showed how strong he became over the four years apart from Ash. I don't want to spoil the book, but towards the end of the book, Ash shares a STUNNING revelation! The writing in this book is so beautiful. The story arc is masterful. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait for Henny's book!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶🌶🌶 . . Alex, Alex, Alex...you have done it again. This book was an absolute masterpiece! I read When We Ignite nearly a year ago and I remember messaging you while I was crying my eyes out and just starring at my wall after that ending. You have healed my heart ❤️ This book is raw, toxic, beautiful, and really makes the HEA even more earned for Ethan and Ash. You feel everything they do and that is something that Alex does really well. Thank you for sharing their story with me and I can finally stop stressing about their happy ending ❤️

Ash and Ethan are the epitome of "right person, wrong time", even for a great deal of this book. There was also so much personal growth from them both as they dealt not only with themselves and each other but other circumstances and other people in thier lives. I was so happy to see them finally get thier hard won HEA.
