Description

Leo has always found comfort in the quiet, dusty rows of the Forestville library, but his peace is shaken by the arrival of Stanton. With his silver hair, deep voice, and effortless charm, Stanton is the quintessential silver fox—and he possesses an uncanny ability to captivate an audience, especially during children’s story hour. For a librarian who spends his days surrounded by books rather than romance, the spark that ignites between them feels like something pulled straight from a novel. However, reality is far more complex than fiction. As their connection deepens, Leo finds himself battling a storm of insecurities. While Stanton is patient and embracing of Leo’s chronic illness, the world outside looms large. The fourteen-year age gap creates a shadow of doubt, leaving Leo wondering if their vibrant present can truly translate into a lasting future. Is their love just a beautiful chapter, or is it a story meant to be read to the very end? Nora Phoenix delivers a tender, heartfelt exploration of vulnerability, age gaps, and the courage it takes to pursue happiness. This standalone romance celebrates the beauty of finding your person in the most unexpected places—and learning that the right love is worth every hesitation.

The best kind of schmoopy

This was such a sweet story. No angst, full of goodness. I love the mention of The Pengrooms, its author and his husband because its a real kids books for anyone who doesn't know, and Matthew and Paul seem like the sweetest real life couple and that book deserves more traction too. I feel like I just got the best hug when I finished reading just now. I've never felt that way after reading a book at least since my mom read to me as a kid. It was just that good and full of love and a happy ending. Now I need to go start my day and what a great feeling to start with 🥰

A Short and Sweet Romance

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧/5 - Performed by Michael Dean Spice: 🌶️✨1.5/5 A fun and fluffy romance between a librarian and the silver fox who volunteers at the library and reads stories to the kids. The MCs had a lot in common outside of their age gap, and the story is low angst with a HEA. Michael Dean did a great job narrating all the characters. Overall, I enjoyed this sweet read. If you’re a fan of age gaps, silver foxes, bookstore dates, slow burns, and found family then this is the novella for you. 💜Age Gap 🩶Close Proximity 💜Small Town 🩶Type 1 Diabetes Rep

Perfect Pair

This was such a sweet no angst story. Just what I needed this week. Pascal is the librarian who loves books. Enter Stanton who comes to read to kids and loves books too. They are just perfect for each other. I also love the reference to the Pengrooms as I bought this book for my granddaughter.
