Another griper with a great ending.
Emily Hayes’ story lines are very similar in the path they travel. The beginning is an introduction to characters that aren’t on the same page, but need to find a way to work together to find a winning end. In this book can Reyes and Walsh pretend to be in a committed relationship while investigating a women’s center importing drugs? Five days prior to going undercover they meet for the first time. The real action is in the middle of the book and the ending holds the final conclusions and answers. The one thing I would like to see in future books is the addition of past characters. This storyline required financial documentation to make charges fit. One of Ms. Hayes’ previous PRPD books had a financial analyst that might have assisted in this undercover operation. That’s just my thought, but the book is well worth the read.
