Description

The ice is cold, but the tension between these two rivals is burning hot. As a veteran player nearing the end of her career, Elena thought she had seen it all until a brash, talented rookie arrived to challenge everything she built on the Phoenix Ridge rink. Their professional rivalry is fierce, fueled by clashing styles and an undeniable age gap that refuses to be ignored. When forced into close proximity, the friction between them shifts from the locker room to something far more intimate. Set against the vibrant, welcoming backdrop of Lavender’s, this story captures the messy, beautiful reality of falling for the one person you are supposed to despise. It is a slow-burn collision of ambition and desire where every power play off the ice feels more dangerous than a championship game. This is a story about breaking down walls, finding unexpected common ground, and discovering that your greatest opponent might just be your perfect match. With rich character development and a setting that feels like home, this second installment of the Phoenix Ridge series delivers the perfect blend of athletic intensity and heartfelt, steamy romance that will leave you breathless and eager for the next chapter.

Book 2

Excellent continuation of Phoenix Ridge Hockey. I really liked the main characters especially once they were able to open up. I'm going to read book 3 now.

This story travels at the speed of a puck after a slap shot across the ice!

Emily Hayes has spoiled this genre for anyone else! The characters she has developed and the setting, especially at Lavender’s are just so real! Even the media issues are realistic. So many lines are crossed you can’t help but cheer for the entire cast of characters! The fierce nature of the game is matched by the ferocious heat between the two MC’s. This style of writing fills my old body with memories of my youth. Thank you Emily for that gift.
