⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Twisted, Filthy, and Addictively Dark
Synopsis:
Under Your Skin is not for the faint of heart. It’s a brutal, obsessive MM dark romance that blurs the lines between justice, vengeance, and love. Levi is a mortician who’s numb to the world—until he starts noticing a pattern in the bodies arriving at his morgue. Each victim is brutalized in a specific way, almost like the work of an artist. And Levi? He finds it beautiful.
Jonah is the man behind the bloodshed. A killer with a code, targeting people the system failed to punish. Cold, efficient, and unrepentant. But when he finds out someone’s paying attention—someone who sees him—it changes everything.
Their first meeting is electric. It’s obsession at first glance. Jonah is everything Levi didn’t know he needed: violent, controlled, unapologetic. And Levi? He’s the perfect audience for Jonah’s darkness.
Together, they spiral. There’s no redemption arc here. There’s no hero. Just two broken men finding comfort in each other’s ruin.
Spoilers Ahead:
Levi doesn’t turn Jonah in. In fact, he starts helping.
They bond over murder scenes and shared trauma.
There’s a scene where Jonah carves a message into a victim just for Levi. It’s sick—and it’s love in their world.
Levi confesses he doesn’t want to be saved. He wants to be ruined. And Jonah is more than willing to oblige.
The ending doesn’t wrap up with a bow—it’s raw, unhinged, and perfectly on-brand for who they are.
“You’re the only one who’s ever looked at the rot in me and smiled.”
“I never wanted a…

Talk about a twist, I about had a heart attack at the end! I have not read a book from this author I have not liked. Highly recommend this dark serial killer romance.
Jonah & Levi… Creepily Ever After!
I absolutely LOVED this book. Wow. These two characters were so interesting and unique that I could not put this down. There was so much happening between them and the weird/mysterious stuff going on within the town, but it didn’t feel convoluted at all.
Levi was such an interesting character. I love how odd and quirky he was. And how he connected with Jonah before knowing him was the coolest kind of creepy.
My favorite thing about Jonah was how real he was with Levi. I loved that he didn’t fake anything and was completely comfortable being his cold, psychopathic self from the beginning.
I felt everything really came together in the end and made for an absolutely fantastic read. I will read anything by this author and know I’ll love it. I love her twists on reality, and this book was no different. I cannot wait for her next read. 1000% do recommend!
Exciting, but maybe a bit long?
I was really excited for this book when I started it, and I loved the first 50% of the book. The story and characters were great and I was so invested. But some time after the 50%-mark it just got a little all over the place, and just felt too long. In my opinion the ending also felt rushed and came out of nowhere(?) or maybe I just didn’t get the signs. Overall it was fine, the first half was great and I wished the rest was just as good..
love me a twisted dark romance
Don’t let the cover fool you, this was an amazing MM dark romance!
We have Jonah -a serial killer that for the most part kills only bad people-, and his secret admirer, mortician Levi.
A mistake leads Jonah directly to Levi, and the twisted, sexy, possessive and unhinged relationship starts.
This was hot and a little crazy. Unhealthy and toxic? Absolutely, but I sure did enjoy it!
