Description

Arthur is a man defined by his precision, his sharp suits, and a carefully curated life that leaves absolutely no room for error. When Julian waltzes into his orbit, the disruption is immediate, chaotic, and inconveniently thrilling. A man of impulse and radiant energy, Julian represents everything Arthur has spent his career avoiding—yet, for the first time, the order of Arthur’s world feels stifling rather than safe. Caught in a whirlwind of razor-sharp banter and undeniable tension, both men are forced to confront the walls they have spent years constructing. As they navigate a high-stakes professional landscape and a personal life that refuses to remain compartmentalized, they realize that vulnerability isn’t the weakness they once feared—it’s the missing piece. In this witty and steam-drenched exploration of identity, Aurora Crane masterfully weaves a story where intimacy is the ultimate challenge. Dealing with the messy, beautiful reality of bisexuality and the courage it takes to let someone behind your polished exterior, Trust Goes Both Ways is a testament to the fact that love is rarely tidy, but always worth the risk. It’s a journey for anyone who has ever needed to learn that to be truly known, you must first be willing to let go.

The previous book featuring these characters didn’t need a sequel, but I adore Lake and Grady so much that I wasn’t mad when I found out about one! I thought the switch from third- to first-person narration would be jarring, but I barely noticed past a few pages into the story. Getting such a peek into Lake’s head was an absolute delight, and Grady’s grumpiness becomes even more endearing. We also get appearances by many of the fantastic secondary characters who inhabit the shared world of Crane’s writing. Crane never throws their happily ever after into question; instead, the conflict comes from the real-life drama that always surrounds joining two lives together. I had a fabulous time reconnecting with these two men, and I highly recommend this duet to any fans of contemporary romance, especially the opposites-attract dynamic.

Lake❤️Grady

Thank you for the book; here is my honest opinion: Wonderful! It’s a treat to find an established couple romance, they are rare and this one is excellent. I loved how Grady and Lake have grown as a couple, they have come a long way. I loved how they work to support each other through weddings jitters and unexpected life changing events. Lovely!

A beautiful love story

Note: This is part two of a duology so be sure to read Third Time Lucky then pick this one up to find out how their love story continues. For Grady and Lake life has completely changed. Lake has had the bi-awakening of all bi-awakenings when he kissed Grady at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. Grady has finally found the man who will love him as he is; who will stay by his side no matter what. Together they find wholeness and more happiness then either of them could have possibly imagined. Together they adopt a dog and add a foster son to the mix both of which make their lives complete. Together, they'll have the wedding they could only dream of before. Could life get any better than this? Thus is a beautiful story!

3 Stars because I am feeling generous…

I LOVED the first book. I thought it was well written, and i got to see glimpses of Lane’s character. Clueless…but not quite…I wanted to see more depth in the 2nd book. I was waiting patiently for this second book. Even reread the first to refresh my memory and enjoy Lake & Grady. Instead, all I got was badly written sex scenes that were, quite frankly, boring and overdone. As much as I loved the characters in the first book, I ended up disliking Lane. I DNF at 50%, and had skipped the sex scenes because….yeah, they were just badly written…maybe the author’s sorry attempt at writing porn? I wish the author had stuck to plot development. I’m actually deleting the first book that I bought…
