Triple Trouble: The Situationship Series, Book 2

Like a dark chocolate and habanero truffle that melts on your tongue even as it delivers a sharp bite. This novel isn't the least bit heavy on plot, which normally I prefer more of, but it's a delightful story nonetheless. The love story is sweet and feel-good, the spice is decadent in quantity and quality, and I'm left with warm fuzzies and impatience for the next book (no cliffhangers). This is a lot lighter than the first book, which I also loved but which is very different - heavier themes and darker emotions. 4.5 stars, rounded up for nontoxic masculinity in the dudebros

Triple Trouble is exactly how I love my m/m romance: full of heart and full of sm*t. This book gives both by the boatload and I loved. it. First, the positively adorable and heartfelt friendship between Will and Mat - ugh, I love it when guys go so hard for each other like that, in this case figuratively and literally 😉. It was a delight learning about how they've been friends since childhood and how they feel about the other person from their own pov. Will's whole "pride and he's mines" made me swoon so hard! I love how protective he was of Mat (and calling him Mattie all the time, my poor heart!) and I loved how much Mat depends on Will, as if Will is literally the other half of his beating heart. Will could not stop spoiling Mat and I was so here for it. I also loved how they eventually crossed from the friendzone into falling in love and being physically intimate with each other; the author paced that perfectly, in a way that didn't feel fake or forced. Then, the introduction of Trouble. Now I admit I wasn't sold on Trouble's place in the story at first or whether it was even necessary that he play a role. Like, yes he's hot and a firecracker, but I was already so enamored by Will and Mat's relationship that it took Trouble awhile to grow on me, but boy does he. I randomly stumbled across this book when it popped up as “something I might like”. Well, that turned out to be an understatement. This book is filled, front to back, with s3x and love. The scenes are XXX for sure and will leave you breathless. The f!lth factor is high in this book and it left me now searching for more things to read by this author. The love surrounding the two best friends is unmatched and written in a realistic and meaningful way. When they add a third it elevates the steam factor to a new level with the bro-besties. I couldn't get enough of this story. It’s a must read if you're here for genuine sweetness, not a lot of drama, love, and steamy s3x. Delicious!

There are some ways I can tell I’ve just found one of my favorite books: 1. I try to actively read slower. 2. I go back and reread chapters before I’m even done with the book. 3. I debate rereading it the moment I’ve finished it. 4. I buy a tangible copy of the book to add to my bookcase. My friends, I did not even finish reading it the first time through before buying a copy of it. I’m completely obsessed. I LOVE a bi-awakening and this one was so beautifully done. It was also hot. Like, so hot, I was having flash backs of scenes at inopportune times and getting the good shivers. Gahhhh, read this. Read this immediately. And then start on reading everything else by Jesse H. Reign too.

Who doesn't love a book with a double bi-awakening and the magic guy that makes it happen. Also DP and big 🍆 make the 🌶 hotter the h*ll... Triple Trouble is an spicy fast read with funny laugh out loud moments, but also moments when you want to hit the characters over the head and say COMMUNICATION... Will and Mat, the best friends that are destined for each other. But they don't realise it, until they meet Trouble and ohhh what an first meeting it is. Trouble is alluring but also, oh so sweet. This was the first I have read of Jesse H Reign but it won't be the last.
