Some of Emily Hayes Best Work
Extraordinary and gripping from start to finish, this novel stands out as one of Emily Hayes’s most compelling works. Hayes masterfully crafts a story that keeps readers fully engaged, building tension with each chapter and refusing to let go until the very last page.
Just when the narrative seems to settle, unexpected twists emerge—most notably in the form of sudden, high-stakes threats that disrupt both the characters’ personal and professional lives. At the heart of the story is a powerful and complex romance, one that both characters pursue despite knowing it could jeopardize everything they have worked for. Their connection is as intense as it is risky, adding emotional depth to an already suspenseful plot.
Equally gripping is the looming presence of the past, which resurfaces in dangerous ways, threatening not only their careers but their very lives. Hayes skillfully maintains uncertainty throughout, leaving readers questioning how—or if—everything will resolve. The balance between romance and suspense is handled with precision, ensuring that neither element overshadows the other.
As the story builds toward its conclusion, the stakes become increasingly clear: to neutralize the threat, sacrifices must be made. Careers hang in the balance, and the future of their relationship is uncertain. The ending forces both characters—and readers—to confront what truly matters most.
This is a novel that keeps you guessing, pulls you deeper with every turn, and ultimately…
Love and trust; are they the same? Reading The Billionaire’s Bodyguard answers these questions to the best of the characters' abilities.
Margot believes being dependent only on herself is the best outcome. Ash, on the other hand, runs from both trust and love. Now, put them in a position to have walls fall and see what happens. It was magnificent seeing two strong characters clash and see if they fall for each other.
This story was an intense, gripping ride that had swoon worthy moments and gasp out loud battles. It was amazing to see each of their vulnerabilities and see how fast they’d fall for each other. The question of love and trust were answered beautifully, and the ending sweet indeed.
This is a well written story about how crossing the line can lead to an interesting relationship. What happened to the threat? Did the fbi arrest the people responsible for any damage?

Fear, dread and anger are fuels that can be tamed!
Emily Hayes is a writer of incredible depth. This story is one of those that gets under your skin and just holds you right to the end. The suspense is equaled with the heat of passion that grew from anger at the need for security. The balance is intriguing. The vigilance for safety of your love’s life and the failure possible, grips the reader like a vice. This was beautiful writing on so many levels.
That this story ended. Power imbalances and life and death situations automatically ratchet up the tension in the story. Emily manages it well and describes the internal torment of truly caring for someone while letting them be the person loved and vulnerable and possibly in a life-threatening situation. Ash's dilemma is completely believable and goes on in Corporate America every day. Their solution is inevitable, but feels like it works out. Good job!
