Description

Rory has always thrived in the shadows of a violent, chaotic underworld, but his latest fascination threatens to push him past his breaking point. It begins with an inexplicable pull toward Shai Burrows—a man who is much more than just a passing curiosity. When Rory discovers that Shai is the thief who robbed him, he expects to settle the score with cold, calculated retribution. Instead, the confrontation triggers an all-consuming obsession that neither man can control. The two strike a dangerous deal: Shai will work off his debt with his body, a proposition that ignites an electric, insatiable chemistry between them. As they spiral into an intoxicating rhythm of hedonism and risk, the line between captor and partner begins to blur. For Rory, Shai rapidly transforms from a target into a fixation, becoming the one anchor he cannot afford to lose. Deeply tethered to the gritty, high-stakes atmosphere of the Sins of the Father series, this story explores the dark magnetism between two morally gray men navigating a world of trouble. As their lives collide in ways they never anticipated, Rory must learn to temper his recklessness. In a life defined by wreckage, he realizes Shai is the only thing he truly wants to possess—and he’s willing to burn everything down to keep him.

🖤✈️🍒But I found you. You let me find you, and I reeled you back in❤️🎸🍒

"And when I get lost, sad like my mom or wild like my dad, it's Cillian who settles me down--talking to me, playing the piano for me, being my friend. My person." "Tell me you don't find me intriguing too. You want more, want to know more. I'm under your skin already, and strangely, you're under mine." "You want to play with me too. You want to be my pet. You want to f*** me and fight with me, don't you?" "I don't need him. I've never f****** needed anyone, and I'm not about to start now, but I've never had someone claiming me and fighting for me that way either. Not even my own mom." "You don't know me." "Maybe not, but I see you." "God, I'm so glad I robbed you." "I'm so glad Iet you. It would suck if you were dead." "I don't know what this is with Rory either. I just know I want it. I so rarely get what I want in my life, and I'm not walking away from this until I have to." "But I found you. You let me find you, and I reeled you back in." "Like he gets my quirks, gets all those bits and pieces inside me that make me stand out from everyone else. Like he holds space for them, wants to nourish them." "You're mine. I don't care if you're theirs too, but you're mine." "Look at me." "Like there's anywhere else my eyes would be." What a phenomenal and amazing end to this series. I am so sad that this series ended 😭. This is definitely one of my new top series and favs by Riley. I felt like the series came full circle in this one and wrapped up beautifully. I have…

Soulmate achievement unlocked

This book was a really beautiful way to wrap up the family of what was once 4, and is now 8. The love shared between all of the baby mobsters is legendary. I wish I knew love to such a degree, it’s something really special. That said, I didn’t connect with this book as much as the others, which surprised me because I love Rory’s chaos and was excited to see who could fit within not only his family, but his mind as well. My only gripe is there is A LOT of emphasis put on the fact that Rory and Cillian aren’t in love, they’re just each other’s people and brothers, but more than that but less than lovers, and a piece of each other. I fully understand the fear in having people misunderstand the message of the story, and I remember RH preempting book 2 with a blurb letting us know this isn’t a poly relationship, but in this book it was pushed to the degree where it interrupted the flow of conversation. Especially with each other. The family knows their dynamic, re-explaining it in casual conversation like y’all haven’t known each other since you were 5 is just unnatural and took me out of the story sometimes. I would’ve liked to feel the relationship between Rory, Cil, Ollie and Shai without having to be told their dynamic directly, in detail, with sources noted, and a how-to-be-a-sexy-platonic-friend tutorial every chapter. But don’t let my haterade deter you. I absolutely did not hate this book. From 1 book to the next, the strength in love increases so strongly, and my…

LOVED!!!!

So freaking GOOD!!! For some reason I feel like this was the sweetest story of this series. The obsession, stalking, hunting was so intensely sweet to me! The group as unit is so sweet but Ollie, Cil, Rory, and Shai gave me all the feels. I reluctantly waited for audio to be released before reading this (which I may never do again)(even though it was worth it because the audio was AMAZING!) It was everything an ending to a series should be. I’m a sucker for lace so this was right up my alley. I love a good ‘I can’t live without you’ tale and I really enjoyed this story and the entire series!

Chaos and love. Perfect compination

I knew I would love Rory. The chaos energy was something I have witnessed in my own life. I think Shai was perfect balance in Rory's chaos. The bond between Rory, Shai, Cillian & Ollie was pure magic! And I thought scenes where they were together was *chefs kiss* The Found family in this series is one of my favorites from all the books I've read in the past 3 years. How they show up for everyone, is only something to dream about having in real life

A Sweet Spicy Read

I really enjoyed this. I’ve been looking forward to Rory’s story and this didn’t disappoint. This was a good mix of sweet and spicy romance. Looking forward to see if the “adult” mafia get their stories told next.
