I loved meeting both Jonah and Micah in the other Punk as Puck novels so getting to read Jonah’s story was so amazing! I love him more after reading his story and loved his relationship with Alexio!! I love a little enemies to lovers vibes and Jonah and Alexio delivered in full force. The turn from casual hate sex to feelings and intimacy is always the best part! Alexio was the best at giving Jonah what he needed, even when Jonah wanted nothing more than to push everyone away. More than anything I love how understanding of each other’s feelings and needs they were, through the good and bad times. The found family connection between Jonah and his friends, and the new additions of Alexio, Vanya, and Nikos, is always a joy to read! Men being soft and vulnerable with each other is not showcased enough and I love these novels for showing that side of these men in all the best ways!! I can’t wait for my pre-order of Micah’s book to land in my kindle library so I can devour his story too!!

MM Hockey Romance with disability rep!
I was in need of a hot MM hockey book and got this book and really enjoyed it. I did not realize it was part of a series but it can still be read as a standalone. I did get a bit lost a few times keeping track of all the side characters since so many hockey players and not having read the other books but it didn't stop me from understanding everything.
I think this book is really good with the disability representation with one of the MMC being blind plus a lot of the side characters having disabilities as well.
I did have a hard time at first getting into the story..maybe because I hadn't read the other books but then I really fell in love with the found family and our MMCs especially Jonah. The author does an amazing job with making you fall in love with all the side characters and how much they help our MMCs.
The spice was hot although it wasn't a crazy amount so it was still a really good balance of plot and spice. I was surprised when one of the main character did not have a big 🍆 since I am so used to all the books I read to have that so I was a mix of disappointed but at the same time happy that it made it more realistic and different from other books. Plus the other MMC kind of loved that and it made the scenes even more hot in a way haha
I think this book was also really good at depicting the struggle of being a child of a cr@ppy and emotionally abusive narcissistic parent and the burden and guilt of having to take care of parents because of health issues when…

E. M. Lindsey and hockey, give me more!
One thing I love so much about E. M.'s stories are the way everyone shows up in each others books. I remember Jonah from the Punk As Puck series. Here he is fleshed out and he grabbed my heart and held on, and I welcome this offshoot of Legends and Fury. What an insane life all three brothers have had, with a straight out of a tabloid mother and an absentee Dad. What parent uses a child's disability that, way?
Anyway it's an enemies to lover story and Jonah meets Alexio over his Dad who has early onset dementia and wanders into Alexio's brother, Nikos's shop. Then there is hockey with Jonah who is blind and in the Para Professional Hockey League(PPHL) and Alexio in the NHL.
I think the attraction was there from the get go but so much interfered they had a tough journey ahead. I enjoyed going on it with them.
The found family of Alexio's team were great along with seeing Tucker, Killian, Amedeo, Hugo, Ford and Boden again.
I am looking forward to Vanya's book, something about an interesting in Russian hockey players lately😉.

Em Lindsey does it again 🖤
Jonah from the very beginning has been one of my favorite characters. I loved his story. I can't wait to read the next book in this series 🖤 Jonah's journey was heartbreaking, heart warming, and one I've read several times since purchasing. Alexio or "brut" became perfectly imperfect once we got to see him come out of his hardened exterior.
I liked that it was a bit different character wise
First, I went into this without reading the first three books. So I really didn't know anything about the series. That being said, it's definitely a book that can be read as a stand alone if you choose.
Hockey, hockey, hockey. Amirite? It was big in the MM romance world way before Heated Rivalry because a phenomenon. I don't even watch hockey IRL, but when the book is done well, there aren't pages and pages of game day play by play. (In my opinion!). And this was done well.
Onto the story. I absolutely loved that this book had both NHL and PPHL. PPHL is hockey for blind players. Want to get me invested? Teach me something new. And this did. I digress.
There's a bit of a rivalry between the two teams because they have to share the arena. So the NHL captain with a giant chip on his shoulder really despises the PPHL team- especially the goalie, who also has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. And then they find out that they have something in common. Or someone.
Alexio (NHL) softened up WAY more quickly than expected. Like the chip on his shoulder just turned to dust. Part of it was trying to play with goggles on that mimicked blindness and part of it was because he finally heard the real story about what was going on with Jonah and his family.
Jonah being blind and navigating the world was front and center. From how difficult it is because of the lack of accommodations, to forgetting to turn his apartment lights on when a sighted person comes over. At the same time it never…
