Description

In the high-stakes, high-emotion world of Sophie Quinn’s Splintered Hearts, love is rarely a straight line. The story centers on a chaotic collision between two polar opposites: a guarded, cynical realist who keeps their feelings locked away and a radiant, impulsive optimist who wears their heart on their sleeve. It is the definitive "grumpy meets sunshine" dynamic, but with the added complications of modern queer identity and the messy, authentic vulnerability that defines any great romance. As the protagonist navigates the jagged edges of a past that refuses to stay buried, they find themselves drawn to an unexpected connection that challenges their resolve. The narrative is a rollercoaster of sentiment, oscillating between tender, heart-swelling moments of intimacy and the sharp pangs of insecurity that follow when two people are brave enough to be truly seen. Quinn crafts a story that isn't afraid to be unapologetically sentimental, exploring how we pick up the pieces of ourselves to make room for someone else. Whether you find the journey devastatingly poignant or whimsically sweet, Splintered Hearts is an intimate look at the courage it takes to heal and the thrill of falling for the person who breaks your walls down.

Grumpy Sunshine Perfection

Absolutely wonderful story. Angsty but also sweet. Some really dark moments at the very beginning and then in some flashbacks. Playlist for the book on Spotify is also fire. Good pairing dynamics, friend groups. The spicy parts of the book are also done so well.

Noah and Jamie

Splintered Hearts was an emotional rollercoaster of a story between Noah and Jamie. Both have traumatic pasts that make them not believe they are good enough. Especially Jamie. They meet because their best friends are in a relationship and Noah needs a place to stay. So Jamie offers his spare room. They both have an instant attraction to each other and they start a roommate with benefits relationship. They just enjoy being with each other. Jamie's past comes back to haunt him and puts terrible thoughts in his head, making him break things off. Can he realize his mistakes? Can Noah forgive him? Can they make their relationship work?

♥ NOAH & JAMIE ♥

5.0⭐ Genre: M/M Romance Format: eBook Series: Splintered Hearts #1 Character Development: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Writing Style: 3/5 Spice Level: 3/5 Overall Rating: 5/5 Jamie & Noah were so freaking adorable. They were heartbreaking, but so sweet. There were time I wanted to throttle Jamie for hiding, and thinking he isn't good enough. Noah, omg he was hilarious. I was literally laughing out loud through most of the book. Jamie matched Noah snark for snark and I was here for it. The found family was so wholesome. I fell in love with every side character. I want Bri to do my makeup and Xavi to hang with us while giving heart eyes to Bri. I want to buddy read with Noah and draw with Jamie. I absolutely can't wait for Hunter and Mark's story. I know it's going to be another good one ♥ What to Expect: • Grumpy x Sunshine • Roommates to Lovers • Size Difference • Found Family • Bi-Rep • Insanely Funny Banter • HEA POV: Dual POV (First Person POV) KU: Yes

So good

Splintered Hearts is a debut book from new author Sophie Quinn and was a really good start. This is a grumpy/sunshine, hurt/comfort, emotional read about Noah and Jamie. I loved the characters and the story and I can't wait to read more from this author.
