Description

Rafael Moon is ready for a reset. After a bruising breakup, the move to a new team in Boston should be a simple transition—until he meets Mickey Krause. As his new defensive partner, Mickey is the perfect anchor: brilliant, driven, and more than happy to take the lead. For Rafe, whose life has felt chaotic, Mickey’s structured, take-charge presence is intoxicating both on and off the ice. Mickey has also been searching for a rhythm after a rocky season, and he finds an unexpected soulmate in Rafe’s earnest, gentle nature. On the blue line, they are a force of nature; in private, their chemistry smolders as they navigate a relationship defined by trust, intensity, and a touch of the unconventional. But the past has a way of crashing the party. When a confrontation with Rafe’s former flame forces a collision between their professional and personal worlds, the dynamic shifts. Mickey, the man who insists on calling the shots, must learn the vulnerability of letting go. As the stakes climb, both men must decide if the risk of heartbreak is worth the potential for a lifetime goal. It is a high-octane story about finding stability in the arms of a teammate.

Sweetest couple

This is book 3 in the series but can be read as a standalone but if you like hockey romance I'd read them all. It's a great series. So far this is my favorite. Why? A extra large, lovable himbo ( though I like golden retriever better) The biggest guy is the little spoon. Slow burn The smallest of the two mcs is not really small either but he's really quiet....but he's the dominate one. I adore all these characters. The story has a very serious thing happen yet there is also a lightness. I guess Rafe's personality brings the slight humor and man oh man is he sweet. ( I want a Rafe...lol) Tanner Rafe and Mickey's roommate and best friend is a riot! Oh Mc 2 Mickey is German. I loved his bit of language issue ( I can't wait got the audio in this). He's the quiet, smaller if the 2 but not a little guy and the dominate. Mickey is sweet too. I adored these 2 together. The only reason I gave a 4 was it was a bit slow and I felt repetitive at tge beginning just s little then picked up. And a little personal thing...I read so much and another series I read has a lot of the same names like Asa that was another GM Logan the ex even Rafe and I got confused a couple times at the beginning but got it figured out.. (I didn't take off for that as it was strictly me but if you've read other series as well it could throw you off.) Now bring on Tanner.

Another good read

The author knows how to tell a great story about people's lives... intertwined with a little spice ... I love how the characters from previous books work with the main character from this one... love the ups and downs of the players' lives.

Hockey Romance with Care Taking

MM Dual POV Third Person Hockey romance Demi rep Pan rep Care taking Sweet himbo Splash of kink Rating: 4/5 - I will probably reread this one 🌶️: 3/5 - there are a handful of explicit intimate scenes (and they are a little kinky) 🏒: 2.5/5 - there were a handful of hockey scenes but I subtracted 0.5 points for the slew foot only being a 2 minute penalty instead of ejection from the game TLDR: soft, warm blanket I want to wrap myself up in forever First off, I don't think you need to read the first two books in the series to read this one. As always you'll enjoy the cameos more if you do. And really you'll want more Jesse, trust me. There is something about Brigham Vaughn's writing style that just does it for me. The books are pretty long but I never notice and I'm always ready for more. The relationships are just so sweet. Like a soft, warm blanket I want to wrap myself up in forever. They dynamic in this book is super interesting to me. The characters don't play the "roles" society would give them based on their age/experience and I thought that was really unique. Plus there is care taking! What more does anyone need? Ultimately, I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes gay hockey romance.

Very slow simmer

I like the series but this book was very slow for around half of it nothing major happens Also if your looking for steam this book is a bit low on that And the team as a whole is stunted through out the book Still if your into the series it’s an ok read
