Settled Dust (Refuge Series Book 1)

Thank you so much to Billie for letting me have the chance to ARC Review for them! I am actually in awe of how incredible this book was. I already knew going into it that I was going to love it- but this was beyond what I was expecting. Not only does Billie create an incredibly beautiful apocalyptic world full of shifters, vampires, and other mythical beings, they are able to convey such a relatable and realistic view of the world of the today and the last few years. Some of the topics that is touched in this novel are ones that absolutely need to be talked about more. They need a voice and Billie gives them that in such a beautiful way. I would recommend this one to everyone honestly for that alone. In my opinion, every reader needs to experience different things and need to be exposed to the reality of the world they're actually in and this is the perfect novel for a reader to do that. Going more into the story, it had literally everything I could ever want as a reader. There was MFNB, fated mates, shifters, vampires, mythical beings, found family, and so much more. The writing was excellent, the story and the plot was so well done and everything was fluid and easy to read. I could not put this down after I picked it up and I finished it in one sitting, it was just that good. There are definitely not many books I would classify as, "perfect", but this is absolutely one of them. Billie has done such a great job and I am so looking forward to the next one in the series.…

Ahhh nooo! I want more!!! I’m going to have to wait for the next book on pins and needles!!! This was such an incredible start to this story. Liam, Bo and Eliza finding each other and learning to figure out each other as balances had me going through so many feelings. I don’t know who I want to hug, wrap up in blankets and hid in my pockets with snack so I can protect them the most!! (Probably all of them) This is a zombie apocalypse book that I always wanted. It gives me the vibes of Lily Mayne’s Monstrous series but with mythological creatures and a delve of history and topics that we are still discussing today. I loved this book… I loved this book so much. I cannot wait to see the story unfold and apparently I love being so overwhelmed by emotions in books because this one is for sure a reread book.
