Description

Once the golden child of the elite art scene, Selene Suarez is now a ghost in her own life. After a wrongful conviction stripped her of her career, her reputation, and her spirit, she has retreated into a self-imposed exile, determined to never let the world hurt her again. Her life is a quiet, empty loop, carefully curated to ensure she remains untouched and unnoticed. Then comes Haven Mondragón—a vibrant, persistent force of nature who treats Selene’s ironclad boundaries like optional suggestions. Haven is the antithesis of everything Selene is now: she is bright, hopeful, and dangerously soft. As a woman who has only ever identified as straight, Haven’s sudden, magnetic pull toward the guarded ex-convict is as confusing as it is undeniable. What begins as an awkward series of encounters evolves into a fragile, electric intimacy that neither woman is prepared to navigate. As their paths entwine, the walls Selene built to protect her heart begin to crumble, forcing them both to question the labels they’ve lived by. In a story of deep scars and unexpected healing, they must decide if an impossible love is worth the risk of being fully seen again.

Story with emotions and depth

I love stories. Not just meet n fall in love and everything is hunky dory, but stories. This is it. A story, lives told. It's a slow but intense burn w angst and hope and beauty woven within. I was left sobbing and feeling the emotions in this book. Well done, well done. I love that the stories aren't cut in short whirlwinds of perfection, they're told in prose of life and its struggles.

A wonderful story

I finished reading the story about 6 am. Once I started reading, it was hard to put down. This love story had me yelling (in my head) at Haven at lot. I love the way they found their way back to each other. Just a wonderful story from start to finish. I would call it an epic love story (but that's just me). I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

See you tomorrow

Get this author's books and leave your reviews. Be prepared to be put through the ringer with your emotions. I hardly ever buy books being that I am reading most on Kindle Unlimited but is is an author that I have purchased her books after I read them on KU. That should tell you how much I like her stories

Heavy but real

This is not your typical romance but it is a beautiful love story. This will definitely pull on the heartstrings. The story really makes you think about how finding yourself doesn't only impact you.... it makes you think about what that journey means for those you love. This was very poignant and is not recommended for light reading.

So Confusing

I really wanted to read this but just couldn’t keep going. This was either written in another language and very poorly translated to English or never proofread read by anyone. It jumps all over the place with no clear timeline and facts change from one chapter to the next.
