Det. Adam Markland (Scarface) and Det. Jordan Slate are up in Scarface by Luna Lay.
Adam is not a people person, grumpy and sticks to himself. His partner on the force, Jordan, is his exact opposite, thoughtful, kind and cordial. Adam wants to punch Jordan in the face on a daily basis. But God forbid anyone else is rude, violent or disrespectful to Jordan, Adam will literally take them down with a fist. Jordan is fascinated and obsessed with Adam but doesn't really understand why but it starts to sink in that Jordan has a massive crush on his gruff partner. Watching this hate/love relationship evolve during some detective work, which leads into some up close and personal time going undercover as convicts in a prison where their target is currently residing in. Jordan and Adam share a cell and what follows is funny, suspenseful and sweet, and leads to some awakenings/realization from both of them towards each other. There is a secret that Jordan was keeping from Adam who finds it hard to trust but Jordan showed Adam how much he loved him and thankfully that happy ending they both deserve was there and I could breathe again. I had so much fun with these two characters who were so different but so perfect for each other. I absolutely loved this book and can say this is my favorite out of the Loser's Division series. Thank you, Luna for giving me and others such beautiful and fun men to bring home and keep on our nightstands
This is the first book of the series Iv read and let's just say I'll be back tracking and reading the others. I greatly enjoyed this book and these men.
Recommend 9/10

Love the Losers Division!
The Losers Division is full of characters that are the farthest thing from actual losers. Adam and Jordan might be my favorite "losers" so far!!
Scarface is the third book in the Losers Division series, they do not need to be read in order. However, this book does contain spoilers for the first two (if that matters to you). If you like a spicy love story, full of snark, attitude, bi-awaking confusion and some mystery who-done-it, then you'll love this series!
Adam and Jordan are partners, but they're not friends (according to Adam). Jordan appears to be a nice guy, go with the flow personality, believes in happily ever afters and all that jazz. Adam hates everyone, everything and thinks happy endings are for suckers (and he's no sucker). Yet, for all of Adam's attitude and snark, he's the first person to throw a punch if someone touches or even hints at touching Jordan. Hmm...
Adam and Jordan find themselves in a precarious situation that only allows them to lean on each other. Those frozen moments in time cause some soul searching, and forced some truths on both of them, that neither are fully prepared to accept or admit.
Their story isn't filled with sunshine and happy moments, though those do exist. But their story has heart, it has pain, scars (physical and emotional), and it has fight!
Checkout Scarface and watch as Adam and Jordan fight each other, fate and the odds as they work towards their HEA.

The MMCs in this book crack me up, they are so funny. And, talk about moody. There are things neither one of them want to admit out loud and not even to themselves. They can’t get out of their own way. They are a pretty good team, though. The mean things these two men say to each other could break a heart, namely mine. LOL. They are both likable in their own ways and I was rooting for them. As I neared the second half of the book, it just got funnier. I LOVE a book that makes me laugh. There is nothing sweeter than when a man is super possessive for another man. There was the biggest plot twist ever and it broke my heart. This book gave us heartbreak and happiness. Mistakes and forgiveness. Found family, too. It was well written and moved along at good pace. I loved it and would definitely recommend this book.
The best of the series so far
This is by far my favorite of the series so! The Loser's Division is back and this time it's Adam and Jordan's turn. I really didn't think it was possible to like Adam after the way he acted in the first two books, and he's not much better at the beginning of the story. But this was a delicious enemies-to-lovers and I completely fell in love with Adam by the end
I can't wait for more from the LD because I have a feeling it's only going to get better!!
