Description

The chaos of the Cruel Shifterverse reaches a fever pitch in Psycho Beasts, where the boundaries between savior and monster blur into dangerous new shapes. Our protagonist, Sadie—a heroine who thrives on the edge of instability—finds herself navigating an increasingly lethal landscape. If you thought you knew what to expect from her journey, think again; this installment is packed with jarring twists that keep the stakes perpetually high and the tension thick. What truly elevates this series is the razor-sharp banter, particularly the explosive, irreverent dynamic between Sadie and Aran. Their interactions provide a much-needed injection of dark humor, cutting through the heavy atmosphere of heartbreak and high-octane action. It is a rare blend of genres, balancing laugh-out-loud comedy with the gritty, painful moments that define a truly unforgettable character arc. Whether you are here for the intense, complex romance or the delightfully unhinged growth of its lead, Psycho Beasts delivers a visceral experience. It is a rollercoaster of emotional highs and lows that refuses to let the reader go until the very last page. For those who enjoy their fantasy seasoned with skepticism, biting wit, and a touch of the macabre, this is an essential read.

frustrated and disappointed

There is truly so much to love about this series, and it really hooked me right from the beginning. And then we get this book, which is apparently the finale of this particular story. This being their last book makes absolutely no sense to me because so much is left unexplained, there are so many important experiences that are never touched on, and the characters don’t actually evolve past what they were in books one and two, despite the fact that they’ve experienced so much and the main character gains more powers. It was incredibly frustrating getting to the end of this book and realizing that the main character stays a virgin this entire time, finally loses it with one of the love interest (and not even any of the original three from the first book) and then that’s all you get. Small spoiler: In the later section of this book, we get a raunchy public group s*x scene. Which is great, but the first times with all of the other love interests are never experienced in the book. there’s been all this lovely tension and lead up and spice and flirting, and so many moments of almost going all the way, and then the author just never follows through. You get one intimate scene with one of the love interests that is not even one of the primary three, and the brief group scene. There is brief mention at the very end of them all having s*x together again, but it might as well be fade to black because you barely get any details and yet again, there’s no sense of intimacy. It feels…

umm… okay

So idk how to feel about the end of this book. Overall the rest of the book was really good! I love the banter and the different characters!!! The plot was good and the scenes were described wonderfully. As the story does pick up where it left me hanging (which I am so glad about) I am hoping that the next book brings it all together for me because I have questions😳. I am still loving it. I got so many good laughs from this book and it was so hard to put down (adulting sucks sometimes😂)

3 books in 3 days won't come back

So I started this books with high hopes and didn't realize that it was 3 books long my bad . But once I got done with the 1st book I went to start the 2nd this series started off great and had a really good premise so I continued now that I'm done with book three I won't be coming back to reread this series. Like I said it started of great had good bones but then it just went down hill there was to much to unravel. You have Sadie who it turned out to be an alpha shifter, then you get to book 2 and you get that she's half shift and half blood fae then book 3 comes out and then she's in the mafia. It seem that the author couldn't decide where she is going and decided ok I like shifters oh and I like mafia and fae stories let just moosh it all together and you get 3 book to explain everything but not make a link of sense oh and I forgot thrown in that she is part of the moon goddess who was born to be a leader in some big war that happens every eon. Agin that just to kuch to Unpack and there were tomany holes for example the twins are not brought up since book 2 like they we forgot by there big brother as they live in beast world they are left to fend for them selves in shifter world the you have the half halflings form book 2 I could go on but ill leave it there just to much and sad that this book just bombed for me it started off good but yeah should of just stopped at book 1

Even Better The Second Time Around!

I just finished doing a reread of Psycho Beasts via the new audiobook, and let me tell you, it's even better the second time around! I laughed out loud, I continued loving on Sadie and Aran's friendship (the MOST iconic tbh), and fanned myself at the heated moments between Sadie and her men. Mollie Stark voices Sadie SO PERFECTLY omg. I'm obsessed with her performances in these audiobooks, truly 10/10. Teddy Hamilton was perfect at nailing Cobra's insane and somehow still completely charming behavior. Plus Jamie Lincoln Smith, Jeremy York, Tyler Donne, and Stella RIpley rounded out this incredible cast for the full cast duet style narration of this audiobook. This was such a blast to reread and listen to for book 3 of one of my favorite series ever. I cannot wait for the audiobooks for the rest of the books in the series so I can reread them that way! Highly highly recommend for an unhinged good time with Jasmine Mas' signature dark and snarky humor!
