Description

Tatum has spent his life playing the supporting role, pouring his energy into his best friend’s stability and family. From the outside, his life appears complete, but behind closed doors, he is haunted by a deep, hollow ache—a missing piece of himself he believes is long gone. He has resigned himself to the belief that he is destructive by nature, a man destined to break the things he touches. Then, the past crashes back into his present in the form of Remy. Once a vulnerable boy in the foster care system, Remy has reconstructed his life into one of professional success and quiet strength, serving as a respected principal. He has spent years burying the trauma of his youth, refusing to look back. But seeing Tatum again threatens to shatter the carefully curated armor he wears every day. Bound by a history that neither can fully escape, the two men find themselves pulled into an orbit of unresolved tension and raw vulnerability. As they navigate their rekindled connection, they must decide if they are willing to confront the wreckage of their shared past or if history is doomed to repeat itself. Only You is a gripping, emotional exploration of healing, resilience, and the undeniable, magnetic pull of the one person who truly knows who you are.

Only You

Tatum was the sweetest. I don't think he couldn't have been sweeter to Remy. And Remy was a doll too. The two of them together, and reconciling their difficult childhoods and past friendship, was a great backdrop for their romance. The role the kids played, particularly Cason and Reagan made this story for me - especially since Remy is their principal. All of the found family vibes here for absolutely everyone. So, so, good! I wouldn't have minded reading even more! I do hope Cason gets a story too! I'm kinda attached to him, haha.

Sweet and Emotional

I was excited for Tatum and Remy’s story ever since they came face to face again after a decade in “Only Temporary”. Like always, the banter between the family is great. Remy’s story was heartbreaking but Tatum was so understanding and amazing in how he was devoted to Remy in any way he needed. A good mix of emotion and spice.

Tatum + Remy

Only Temporary should be read first. This was a quick, easy read. I’m not sure it was what I was expecting for Tatum’s story but I still really enjoyed it. I think, maybe – I was expecting a deeper dive given Tatum and Remy’s background. I enjoyed getting to see more of the characters from Only Temporary, since they play such a large role in Tatum’s found family. Curious to see where Nicole takes us with Cason and Liam in the future.

Tallum and Remy

We’re introduced to Tallum in book one and it’s great that he got his own book. He’s a character who has overcome a lot but also knows that he’s not cured. When he comes back into contact with Remy from his past some old wounds open up again. None of those wounds are as bad as Remy’s thought. His growth over the book is awesome and the two of them really are perfect for each other.

So sweet and Swoony!

Thank you so much GRR for the arc! This was such a quick, swoony and sweet read! It follows Tatum, Kellan's friend from the previous book who helped save up for a house for the foster kids. Tatum has also had a difficult past, as a foster kid and former addict, but he has a great support system and formed a family who he can always count on. The kids are always a handful, even on good days, and one day as Tatum goes to talk to the principal, he runs into his old friend, Remi. The two grew up together in the foster system, Tatum protected Remi because he was always on the bigger side, and felt that he was vulnerable. Unfortunately, something happened in the past that pushed the two apart and had them not see each other for 10 years. How do they run into each other again? Tatum has to pick up one of the kids from the principal's office, and the principal is none other than Remi. Remi hasn't recovered from his trauma and is determined he doesn't deserve love, but Tatum is determined to prove him wrong. These two were so sweet together, they had great communication and always tried to stay on the same page. Sure, there was less drama in this one, but honestly it just added to the swoon factor of them as a couple. I loved the cameos from the kids, Kellan and Phillip!!
