Okay, so here's the thing with Haley Cass books - they're not long enough. They can never be long enough. I legitimately want to crawl into these pages and never leave. This was 500+ pages of pure Cass brilliance, it was robust and lovely and layered and heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time. Cass gently takes your hand and lovingly leads you through the most amazing sapphic love stories... On the Same Page is another stellar addition to the Haley Cass universe that is an utterly brilliant representation of the spectrum of self-discovery, human emotion, and the capacity for love. This is a gold standard of friends to lovers. Best friends to lovers. It was absolutely perfect. I love Riley and Gianna. I loved watching their friendship evolve. I typically am not a fan of dual timelines but Cass executed this one flawlessly. Gianna's progression as a character was beautiful. Riley is just an amazing character all the way around. The dynamic between these two is a gorgeous example of the love that two people cultivate over years of mutual adoration, how soulmates exist, and that a beautiful friendship can be the strongest foundation of a relationship. If Haley Cass wrote it - Read it. It's that simple. It's such a beautiful experience. Each one is unique and a stunning masterpiece of sapphic love.

This book described one of the purest forms of love in a friendship and later partnership I’d ever seen in a story or other book before. The connection and chemistry between Gianna and Riley was so freaking adorable I’d be kicking my feet and blushing at times! Even parts that would be cringey IRL weren’t for some reason between these two?? (you’ll know what I mean by the end of the first third of the book lol) The story was full of character growth, pining, angst, and a little bit of spice. I loved the chapters of Gianna’s POV from their college years, it brought so much insight into her character and was perfectly set up for the ending and final chapter monologue from her. I loved Riley, but Gianna stole my heart the minute we were introduced to her and all her layers🥺her character development is the absolute best and her growth as a person and businesswoman was so heartwarming and inspiring! She’s so strong, thoughtful, and compassionate and I just adore her! The way she sees Riley and values their friendship just makes my heart melt, they both deserve all the happiness!! Highly recommend this story to any fan of friends-to-lovers storylines, this right here is the blueprint!!

3.75! Another enjoyable read. A cute romance story with a robust narrative. The ride is worthy, and the character development, especially Gianna, is appreciated. Kudos to Cass for the past/present storyline. Creative and offers important content to really appreciate Gianna’s growth as an individual. Riley is simply an angel. A shooting star. A unicorn in Gianna’s life. It seems that her magic had such a deep impact on Gianna, and essentially, by default, took Gianna into a healthy, successful, loving, and fulfilling life. 10 years tho. That is a LONG time. After 2 years, I couldn’t handle it anymore and had to reveal my feelings to my best friend. I can’t imagine 10!

I loved this book. I loved and loved and loved it. This is a wonderful story of two lifelong friends who realize that maybe, just maybe, they're something more. Friends-to-lovers is my most favorite genre, and Haley Cass does a brilliantly fantastic job. Gianna is a social media darling, with her own fashion line set to make waves. She doesn't date, but enjoys the occasional one-night-stand. Riley is a news producer, eager to bring true and reliable sources to the next generation. Riley does date, but hasn't in a very long time. Riley and Gianna have been inseparable for ten years, sharing an incredibly close, but very platonic, relationship. When a misunderstanding leads the two best friends to embark on a friends-with-benefits relationship with each other, it is the catalyst for so much more. There is so much emotion packed into this book. From the opening pages to the final lines. Riley and Gianna share an enviable friendship. Early in the book even pre-FWB, Gianna hosts a party for her fashion launch, but is scrambling to make sure everything is perfect. When Riley asks to help, Gianna tells her that she can't ask guests to help. And Riley replies, "But I'm not your guest. I'm your Riley." And Gianna (and me) absolutely melt. The two friends are often so tactile with each other, people often mistake them for partners. Cuddling and spooning your best friend during movie night is normal, right? This book is tender. This is actually the best lesbian book I’ve read in a few years. It has incredible depth in the characters, a twisted plot, and hysterical humor. I actually read it slow taking breaks for hours so i could make it last longer. Im going to check to see if its on audible so i can drink spew at that first sex scene massage moment when Riley feels excitement from her massage and it gets out of control from there. I recommend it if you enjoyed other novels like The wrong McElroy by KL Hughes, or anything Georgia Beers, or And Plying The Role of Herself by KE Lane. It is an instant favorite and basically it clearly has a base drop moment that just swallows the reader into gasping. I have to say I loved it just to make it perfectly clear since evidently communication skills are not these characters best skills. Thanks Haley C.
