Description

Emily is LULY, a rising pop-rock sensation whose career is hitting a wall thanks to a reputation for being a bit too chaotic. When her manager demands a shift in image to salvage her reputation, Emily initially scoffs—until a major festival spot slips through her fingers. Desperate to prove she can be "stable," she finds herself in a bind: how does a hyper-busy rockstar manufacture a wholesome relationship? Enter Gus, a magnetic tattoo artist and the architect behind Emily’s latest ink. Gus has her own reasons for entertaining an arrangement. When Emily proposes a fake-dating scheme to clean up her public persona, Gus doesn’t bite at first. But when the opportunity presents a chance to spark jealousy in an ex, the deal starts to look like a win-win. After all, who wouldn't want to play pretend with an intoxicating rockstar? As the two navigate the blurring lines between staged paparazzi moments and private chemistry, their careful plan spirals into genuine longing. It’s supposed to be a strategy, not a love story—but amidst the glare of the cameras and the electric tension of their ruse, they are both about to learn that falling was never the intent, but it certainly isn't their fault.

Not My Fault

Such a great follow-up to Eras of Us (which I loved!) This is Gus's story - River's tattoo shop co-owner. Gus seemed to have gotten caught in the middle of Max and Cari's FWB deal (in Book 1) and they're tired of being second choice. An unfortunate incident lands them a tattoo session for rockstar, LULY (Emily), who propositions them with an opportunity that could benefit them both. Emily needs a partner to help clean up her image, Gus needs help to get over Cari. Nothing like a little fake-dating to sort things out... until things heat up! 🥵🔥❤️‍🔥 I can't wait for book 3. Cari seems messy and I'm dying to know what she's up to. It's almost out!!

Pretty good read.

This is the first book I've read by this author, and I was not disappointed. The relationship between the two MC's was sweet. There was a tiny bit of angst, and some well written love scenes. I wish Emily didn't do some of the things she did on stage, but it wasn't a big deal. The secondary characters added to the plot. Overall, a pretty good book. Thank you to BookSirens for the opportunity to read this book.

Perfect Fake Relationship Sapphic romance

Love this fake relationship to lovers sapphic romance… Love the inclusion and the minimal drama… also like that their was a little intrigue thrown in and how both the MCs overcome it together. Perfect amount of romance and spice and would love to read spin offs of the other characters in the book also. 5/5 definitely recommend I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
