Sweet summer fling

I loved this book! While this is book 4, it's my first one, so I'm now planning to go back and read the others. I liked both main characters, and enjoyed getting to know the others in the friend group. I really related to Kim, so I loved absolutely everything Zara brought out in her. I loved their easy chemistry and how their relationship really blossomed throughout the story. They spicy scenes were just right, too. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A spicy fwb-to-lovers book you'll love!

A chance encounter leads to a one night stand. A one night stand becomes friends with benefits. What could possibly come of that? Inn Love, part 4 of the Lighthouse Lovers series answers that very question. A well written and very spicy delivery from Shannon O'Connor takes us back to Lovers, Maine for the fourth of a series that can be read in order or as complete standalones. Zara is a well known author in town for the summer to get some inspiration to write her next dark romance book series. Kim has just moved back to teach kindergarten where she grew up. On the surface they are opposites, but they find they fit together better than either could have anticipated. During an event for her friend's upcoming wedding, Kim is called predictable yet again, and it's a punch in the gut after her ex used it when he dumped her. She resolves to have a summer of fuck-it. She decides to say yes to all those scary things she usually says no to. Zara has arranged to walk the inn keeper's golden retriever Sandy in the evenings as a way to force herself to get out and see the town. One night she's playing with her on the beach, when Sandy runs right into Kim, taking her out at the knees. Zara rushes over to make sure she is okay and is taken aback at how beautiful Kim is. As they walk down the beach and talk a bit, Kim notices Zara checking her out, and takes the chance when they reach Kim's car to lean in for a kiss. This leads to them heading back to Zara's room for an amazing night…

Kim and Zara!

4.5⭐️ Book 5 of the Lighthouse Lovers was hot hot hot! I loved Zara!! The chemistry between Zara and Kim was palpable and at times I could have sworn there was smoke coming from my device! What starts as a one night stand, turns into a friends with benefits summer fling. Along with the lovely spice, there is sweet romance and check ins throughout of the fab core best friend group. Looking forward to the final book in this series and moving on from the summer, maybe we will get to see how all the couples are doing now that we will finally get the ‘wedding’ and beyond ;).
