This was such a delightful morsel of yummy I don’t know quite where to begin.
It’s quirky, naughty, and way too cute for words. Because even with all the supernaturals fighting (and occasionally murdering), and all the lightweight kink going on, it’s mostly an adorable story of enemies falling in love. In the most unlikely and over-the-top way possible.
And I freakin’ love it.
Not All Himbos Wear Capes is an enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract, villain-nails-a-hero-yes-in-the-fun-way kind of story.
And it’s to die for.
Synopsis: Xander is a villain. He’s grumpy as all get out and he’s particularly annoyed by Captain Masculine, the city’s superhero who keeps disturbing his plans and his work. But Masculine is hot A.F. in Lycra though, so there's that at least.
Butch is the golden boy of Big City, but being a superhero is tiring, and constantly putting everybody else’s wishes and wants before his own might be the hero way but he just wants a break.
Enter Bangers, the perfect hook-up app for normies. No better way to blow off steam, right? Neither Xander or Butch expected to meet the perfect guy – too bad that supernaturals and normies aren’t allowed to be together…
I fell in love with these guys. That’s the only way to describe it. (Alright, I might have fallen harder for Xander, but you will too if you give this story a shot).
The way they were together was perfection. I believed their instant attraction. I felt how they clicked and found someone they could actually…
4.5 ⭐️s for spicy superheros!
A dangerous thing can happen when a book (or series) comes highly recommended—expectations get high. For me, that often leads to heartbreak when the book inevitably lets me down (yes, I admit, my expectations can be ludicrous). But sometimes, just sometimes, the opposite can be true. Here in lies the case with NAHWC.
Holy Cheeze-Its! The hilarity, the ridiculousness, the camp. It’s all perfectly woven together in accessible yet sophisticated prose. I have no idea what I expected (okay, yes I do. It was a lot. Those expectations were HIGH), but holy sugar honey iced tea did this deliver!
The world building is immediate and easy to follow. The camp, much the same. The insta-love (usually not a fan) is perfectly used and abused, just like our main Himbo. I mean these two are (chefs kiss) perfection.
There is a good amount of spice (tbh, I could’ve handled more) but it doesn’t take away from the gravity of the world building and plot and awesome 👏🏻 side 👏🏻 characters 👏🏻!
What’s more, this was Rochelle’s first MM-only romance. I mean, WHAT? It’s all just so delicious.
Read it. Burn it into your memory. And then read the next one. And the next. And the next. Daddy says so. And so do I.

Everything my superhero loving soul never knew it needed
5⭐️ 4🌶️
“For anyone with a penchant for hot men in tight supersuits. Embrace your villain arc, bestie.”
SugarHoneyIcedTEA! I am absolutely OBSESSED with this book. I’m a closet superhero nerd at heart with chaos as my love language and Not All Himbos Wear Capes spoke straight to my soul. This was the perfect combination of humor, banter, chaos, angst, lust, and spice. I could not put it down. I loved Xander and Butch’s playful vibes and how direct/forward they were with their feelings toward one another mixed right in with their anxiety about the other finding out who they truly were–chef’s kiss. From start to finish, I was utterly entranced by C. Rochelle’s writing and now I need it all–*adds every book to TBR*–starting with Wolfy’s book asap. Yesterday. Last week.
“Sucky. I sharply inhaled, realizing I’d just thought a word that was dangerously close to…a swear. I’M PRACTICALLY A VILLAIN!”
Butch is the ultimate good boy (yes, he’s a GOOD BOY) golden retriever MMC and seeing his sweet, PG swears turn a little more NSFW as he explored a side of himself he never knew existed was everything. It was heartbreaking to see all the self-doubt and feelings of being used and never good enough beneath the surface of his alpha-male exterior that he felt he needed to put on for the world. I really loved how Xander made him feel valued, while also bringing out his submissive side and how he was not at all ashamed to explore the things he enjoyed–plus when he finally stood up to…

Butch and Xander meet through a dating app after Xander’s best friend Kai creates a profile for him. Neither one knows that the other one has a secret identity, which makes them enemies. They introduce themselves using their “normie” names rather than their real names, thus hiding their true identities. Their first date goes really well, leading to them going home together.
Butch has never dated a man before, but he is captivated by Xander. Despite being the famous Captain Masculine, he’s submissive in the bedroom calling Xander “Daddy”. Xander, also known as Dr. Anti-Hero, is dominant both in and out of the bedroom and Butch is only too happy to do what he says. They quickly become inseparable, despite nether of them ever having been in a long-term relationship before.
"Not All Himbos Wear Capes" is a captivating novel that revolves around the story of two rivals who unexpectedly connect on a dating app. Xander, a member of the notorious Suarez clan, and Butch, the designated savior of Big City, unknowingly find themselves in a relationship. One of the many things that make this book engaging is Butch's reluctance to use profanity, which adds a layer of humor to the story. The supporting characters in the book are also well-developed and add an intriguing element to the overall plot.
The steamy scenes between the two main characters are incredibly hot and will leave readers wanting more. I personally listened to the audiobook and was thoroughly impressed with the…
Not All Himbos Wear Capes
This was such a fun and filthy book! Steamy, villainy, and so entertaining! The premise was exciting and nothing like your average superhero movie! I love the originality of it. It was action packed and steamy for sure.
Butch and Xander were so perfect for each other. Their romance was spicy as heck and so darn cute!
