I love this book. Love the charecters. Great setting and story. Could not put this book down. Read in one setting. This is a great addition to this series.

It is the story of a skinwalker who everyone thinks is his mate but turns out isn’t and a dragon shifter who meet on an assignment for a supernatural mafia and how, with a lot of persuasion from the dragon shifter, they realize they are mates. Abner Price, known as Abi, is a skinwalker who can shift into any animal in a moment’s notice. So far he is the only one that is known in existence. But along with this ability he emits a scent that whenever someone smells it, they immediately think he is their mate and even go so far as marking him. But the mating bond wears off after 2 weeks and the mark also goes away so he knows they are not true mates. This has happened many times and he is disheartened by it until he finally decides that he will not believe anyone again when they say he is their mate. Peter Sylvain, who is the head of the Sylvain mafia, is a constant presence in his head and he also works for him since he can shift into any animal that can get into small spaces and get information he needs. They all want to get rid of evil people and Abi isn’t afraid of changing into a venomous snake and biting them, which happens several times in the story. April Kelley's "Nash’s Fake Mate" is book six in her Dragon Skull MC Daddies series. Once again the Dragon Skulls MC interact with the Sylvain mafia. Abner Price is a skinwalker, able to shift into any animal. He's an assassin for Peter Sylvain. Because of his skin walker nature, Abi's pheromones tell him everyone is his mate, but the bond and mark disappear after two weeks. Nash Drake dragon shifter and member of the Dragon Skulls MC. When the two meet, Nash realizes Abi is his mate. Done with the whole fated nonsense, Abi doesn't believe him. They're sent undercover as Daddy and boy to search for Michael Mallor, a warlock who ran a slave fighting and prostitution ring and was also responsible for the death of Nash's family. Both the Dragon Skulls and the Sylvain mafia want him dead. Lots of bloodletting, quite a bit of violence and some death. The end fight scene is nail biter. This is balanced by some hot sexy times. Bonding bites, with Abi hoping they stick and as trust builds, do comes love. Some of the previous books' characters come to assist or just add to the general mayhem, my favorite, Seryn, among them. First time reading this author and I really liked it. I loved how their relationship worked, and how they let each other shine. This is the first time I read a shifter book with the skin walker and I was pleasantly surprised as a DND player. I loved every bit of it and now I wanna be one in DND. I loved their connection. I love the found family on both sides. I need more motorcycle club shifters! So good chefs kiss. I do wish we got deeper, had more D/b time, without the threats hanging over their heads. And knotting would be fun, But over all good read. I am intrigued by a certain person who is in everyone’s head. Will be interesting to see who he gets paired with.
