Description

Maddox Shaw is the bedrock of the Phoenix Ridge Police Department. As a elite K-9 handler, she is known for her icy precision and unwavering composure under pressure. But behind her steely exterior, the demands of the job are beginning to take a toll. Haunted by fragmented memories and rising anxiety, Maddox is spiraling, even as she stubbornly insists she is fine. Her chief disagrees, mandating therapy to keep her on the force. Enter Jade Kessler. A former Army medic turned trauma counselor, Jade is calm, perceptive, and entirely unimpressed by Maddox’s defensive walls. She is the first person to see through the officer’s facade, and she isn’t afraid to push back. What begins as a tense, mandatory professional arrangement quickly ignites into a volatile power struggle, where the heat of their attraction threatens to dismantle the defenses Maddox has spent a lifetime building. As a dangerous new string of crimes grips the city, Maddox finds herself teetering on the edge of a total collapse. To survive both the investigation and her own past, she must learn that surrender isn’t a sign of weakness. In this intense, slow-burn romantic suspense, two fierce women must decide if they are brave enough to lose control to find something real.

Phoenix Ridge PD Book 7

I have read books 1-7 and they have all been very good books. I've really enjoyed reading book 7, not sure why. Maybe because it was more realistic and being in the medical field and seeing and getting to know some of the police in are city. Maybe it just hit hope. Thanks for giving me some books to read.

Absolutely incredible

I have read all 7 now of the phoenix pd series and this one by far is the deepest and most incredible one. This author is a great writer, but involving so many sensitive subjects and showing the hard work, the pressures, the struggles, in a healthy and rewarding way is beautiful. Yes there is spice and it is delightful in of itself, but this book is incredible. Thank you to the author for such a great series.
