Description

In the high-stakes, sweat-drenched world of professional ballet, precision is everything—until it isn’t. For the stars of the stage, the line between art and obsession is razor-thin, and nowhere is this more evident than in the rivalry between two of the company’s most magnetic dancers. At the center of this storm is a protagonist whose unapologetic flamboyance and razor-sharp wit make them impossible to ignore. When an intense creative competition forces them into the orbit of their greatest rival, the tension simmering in the studio begins to boil over into something far more volatile. What starts as a clash of egos and a battle for the spotlight quickly fractures into a whirlwind of undeniable chemistry and late-night longing. Limerence: Famous Young Things is a breathless exploration of ambition, identity, and the intoxicating pull of desire. As the characters navigate the brutal demands of their craft, they must confront the vulnerabilities they’ve carefully hidden behind perfect technique. Peppered with electric banter and raw emotional stakes, this is a story for anyone who knows that the most dangerous performances are the ones we give for each other off-stage. Heart-pounding, spicy, and deeply authentic, it is a beautiful dive into love that refuses to play by the rules.

ahhhhhh, my heart! I can’t 😭😭😍😍

🔥🔥😍🖤💕Beautiful! Addictive! Extraordinary! So many words to describe this! CAPTIVATING!!!!!!! This was another one of Scarlett Drakes love stories that just grips you from the beginning and doesn't let go! First off, the audiobook was DELICIOUS! Nathan Wolfe and Harley chase were PHENOMENAL!!! Absolute perfection! Could listen to this a million times over! I don't know how she manages to write, truly, the most beautiful love stories but that's what this was! A soul awakening love story that is impossible to put down! These characters were FANTASTIC! Written so perfectly, Felix was everything that needed Nico! The deeply rooted and embedded trauma both MMCs bring to this is what sets the stage for the heartbreak and turmoil experienced throughout. Character development throughout was top notch and as ALWAYS, incredible spice! The relational development between MMCs is so exciting, hot and beautiful! There were so many of my favorite tropes in this! Nothing what I had expected, and absolutely exceeded my expectations 1000%!!! This is a top read for the year!!!💗💗💗🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love rivals to lovers and this was really good. It took me a bit to get into, but the tension between Nico and Felix was so intense. The spice was so dang hot.

A Perfect Romance

To say I’m obsessed with them is putting it mildly. Nico Savini was one of the greatest ballet dancers on the planet, and the only true competition for Felix Taylor-Brooke. Two years ago, he dropped out of the game, taking a hiatus with no established end date. Now he’s back, and he’s headed to London Ballet Company, where Felix dances. The rivalry is intense, but these men are carrying hidden depths, and the question is - what will they become to one another? I don’t know how to review this without flailing, but I’ll try. Scarlett is writing at a depth of characterization and plot that is unmatched. While this is her “rom-com,” and definitely lower in angst than her previous work, it’s filled with characters who are fully fleshed in all their idiosyncrasies and imperfections. I felt like I was falling in love alongside Nico and Felix, and that’s my favorite experience when reading a romance. While on the surface, Nico and Felix couldn’t be more different, the chemistry between them is incredible. Even at the peak of their supposed enmity, each is obsessed with the other in their own special way. One of my favorite musical theater quotes is, “I’m looking for baggage that goes with mine,” and that is these two to a tee. Discovering the ways they fit together despite all appearances to the contrary is the epitome of love. Their incandescent connection extends to the bedroom, as well! They have some of the most emotionally charged spicy scenes I’ve read, and they’re also…

Exemplary performance!

Ecstatic and absolutely satisfied with this one! I got all my wishes for this book granted: drama, love, humor, spice, and even a certain specific scene (IYKYK). I really like the choices Drake made to bring these two rivals together; the hate-flirting and tension are delicious. I am totally delighted that ballet is not just incidental; it’s pretty intrinsic to the plot. Also, love the parallels between this story, and a classic, which I won't go into due to spoilers, but I absolutely did not expect it and it’s done well! Drake is so good at creating whole and well-rounded characters. No one is perfect; they make mistakes and sometimes hurt people, which lends realness and depth to their development and relationships. This book has some great ones, but for me, Felix stole the show. He takes the top spot for favorite Drake character; there, I said it. I can vividly picture him in my mind, to the point where I'm convinced he's menacing in London right now. Nico is lovely too, I'd want him in my corner any day. So in conclusion, I'll say this: SCARLETT, you 'Plies-d' me with this one. I'll show myself out.

I love Flex and Nico....

Flex and Nico are now my favorite couple.. I loved this book its funny, cleverly written, and it blends masculine norms with alternative versions. This is a MM, spicy, obsessive love, rivals to lovers romance. Flex is so funny, comfortable in his sexuality, confident, flamboyant MC. I loves him so much... Nico is a soft giant with trauma in his past, very opposite of Flex, but protective and sweet. And yea he's obsessed with Flex. But who's not lol.... Great book...happy reading yall
