Knock Knock is book three in the From Nothing series and should be read after Garron Park and Lot 62. This is Nate and Xavi’s story. I was intrigued by their relationship the moment they were introduced in Garron Park. I was highly anticipating this - and was not disappointed. AHHHHH! I loved everything about them. We get this absolutely ridiculous and adorably clueless best friends to lovers story that just seemed to fit Nate and Xavi perfectly. This was obviously very, very different from Maddox and Devon's story. The whole vibe is completely different which is a given. Nate and Xavi have always been best friends - attached at the hip, figuring out life together one day at a time. Their personalities are playful and goofy and I have never laughed out loud so much while reading a book. They are so supportive of each other in every aspect of life and there is just this natural comfort level they have around each other. In the beginning, I wanted to shake the hell out of both of them - but once they were on the same page, what a ride. I really loved that they had no idea what they were doing, and stumbled through figuring it out together (and definitely did not always get it right). The kink list was hilarious and I will forever think of this book any time I see the term "cock warming". This is the best friends to lovers book! It was a genuine joy to read and made my heart so happy.

I loved the first two, this one just didn’t hit the same. They were cute and so in love, but the fact that there was no conflict of any kind just made this feel like a book full of filler. Xavi and Nate were each others everything as friends, and fell into a relationship very quickly and really easily. There was no awkwardness, no questioning their feelings it was just “I have feelings for you.” “Okay be my boyfriend”. There was no build up to taking their relationship to that level, and I feel like I needed that. They were both funny, and silly, and so cute. But it just dragged. The entire relationship was them experimenting with new k!nks and exploring each other in a new way. But there was no actual character growth. It may have just been how I interpreted them from the first two books, but they weren’t anything like I expected. I was expecting them to be toughened up like Devon and Maddox, but they were sweet and gooshy and silly and honestly a bit immature.

Knock Knock is the third, and final, installment in the From Nothing Trilogy by Nordika Night, and what a lovely send off it was. Knock Knock picks up after Lot 62, this time focusing on our Golden Retriever besties, Xavi and Nate, the older brothers of Maddox and Devon from the first two books. xavi and Nate have been best friends for years. They live together, work together, participate in extracurriculars...together, but in that department, things never seemed quite right. Things between Xavi and Nate start to shift little by little as they both realize that perhaps the love they've always shared with each other has maybe deepened and begun to transform into something a little bit more. Knock Knock follows them on this journey of what exactly it means to serve a life sentence together, finding their purpose and kinks all along the way. This story is an authentic depiction of friends-to-lovers that will having you laughing, fanning yourself, and perhaps shedding a tear or two. I definitely recommend this series!
