Description

Noah Sørensen has always believed that life is a puppet show directed by fate, with humans merely dancing on the strings of circumstances beyond their control. Behind his carefully constructed present lies a fractured history he thought he’d buried long ago, rooted in a quiet small town and the complicated, raw intensity of his first love: Kaj Larsen. Growing up together, Noah and Kaj moved from the awkward, electric confusion of adolescence into a deep, formative bond. But a singular, devastating tragedy shattered their reality, forcing them onto divergent paths and leaving them with scars that never truly faded. Years later, a collision of circumstances reunites them, reigniting a volatile connection that blurs the jagged line between magnetic attraction and burning resentment. Reconnecting feels like a catastrophic mistake—a doomed endeavor destined to end in heartbreak. Yet, the gravity between them is absolute, and neither man possesses the strength to resist the primal pull they thought they had outgrown. As they spiral back into each other’s orbits, they must face the painful echoes of their past before everything collapses once more. This is a story of obsession, buried secrets, and the dangerous volatility of love.

This Was Incredible From Beginning To End!

This book was EVERYTHING I have been looking for recently!!! From the moment I read what the story was about I knew I needed to read it. This was one of those books where it just sucked you into it and you didn’t want to stop reading it. I was only at the halfway point when my heart started breaking and by the end it was completely shattered. All I wanted to do was give Kaj the whole time ugh. I don’t want to say anything without giving away the details of this book and what happens, but this is an absolute must read if you love angst and enjoy having a book ruin you. Those are my absolute favorites but now I will be eagerly waiting in anticipation for the second book and being able to see Kaj & Noah’s happy ending! It sure as hell would be a hard fought after one but they always come back to eachother so I have no doubt that the second book will be just as amazing as the first. I loved this sososo much and I can’t wait to see how their story will end and be able to have my heart mend!!!

Enemies to Lovers

I enjoyed this book. Noah meets Kaj and his friends at a young age. Noah and Kaj become very close but then life happens. They’re basically enemies as they go into adulthood. The story starts of kind of slow but it gets angsty. Then there’s the spice. This is my first read from this author. I did like this book and I can’t wait for book two. Book one does end on a bit of a cliffhanger. I would say the spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

5⭐️

Best read I’ve had in a long time! From the moment I started I couldn’t put this book down and finished in one sitting. Kaj and Noah’s story starts out with beaming hope of happiness and friendship and later on love. Then tragedy hits, and then dread. This book had my emotions reeling and I’m so happy I picked this up when the second book was released because I am wasting no time waiting to find out how their story ends.

MM Romance

"If I Were To Die" is the first installment in the Artificial Suicide duet by L.A Cannon. Noah and Kaj’s love story is a romance between friends and lovers tested by life's challenges. A tragedy causes Noah and Kaj to react in very different ways. Because of that, things are done that cannot be taken back. Their love turns into animosity and hate. How can these two people who once were everything to each other find their way back to each other? That’s what I want to know. That ending—excuse me, what was that? I need to know what happens in the next book. Also, there are trigger warnings for cheating. If you are not a fan of cheating, then this book is not for you. Also, I would love to see more of Kaj’s POV because we mostly get Noah’s POV throughout the book, and we only get Kaj’s POV at the end. I really can’t wait to see how. Noah and Kaj find their way back to each other in the second part of the duet.
