Description

Myles Cummings is living life under a microscope. Between the relentless pressure to ascend to the NHL and the weight of being the family’s golden boy, the last thing he needs is a disruption. When Cooper, his high school crush and the guy responsible for locking away his deepest feelings, struts back into town, that disruption hits like a freight train. Cooper is in town to pursue a professional football career, but for Myles, seeing his old friend ignites a spark he thought had been extinguished years ago. Forced proximity becomes the ultimate test of restraint when Cooper needs a place to crash and moves in with Myles. Living just a few feet away from the man of his dreams is torture, especially when Cooper seems determined to play matchmaker, setting Myles up with one of his teammates. But Cooper is harboring a secret of his own: his feelings for Myles go far deeper than nostalgia, and hiding his identity while living in such tight quarters is becoming an impossible play. As fences are crossed and hearts are put on the line, the two must decide if they’re willing to sacrifice everything to finally stop skating around the truth and claim a future together.

Great Read!

This was such a great way to end the series! It was awesome to read a few snippets about previous characters and get their updates. I'm day to see it end, but am looking forward to new things the author has in store for us!

Great addition!

4 - 4.5 I do love this hockey group and Myles and Cooper are a great addition to the series (and possibly conclusion??)! I was really happy to see Myles get his story and find his happiness and I think Cooper is the perfect match for him! Myles is a college hockey player in his final season and trying to figure out what will be next, he’s hoping he’s good enough for the NHL but he has a good amount of self-doubt. He gets a surprise when he sees Cooper, a friend (and crush) from high school and finds out he’s transferred for his final football season. The two easily reconnect but what Myles doesn’t know is that Cooper isn’t as straight as he thought he was. Nope, turns out he’s been experimenting with guys and just might be interested in Myles. It gets a little complicated early on when Myles starts dating another football player, but their true feelings for each other doesn’t stay hidden for long and quickly these two find themselves exploring those feelings together. I really did like these two together, it’s easy to feel their friendship foundation that easily and quickly becomes more. We get to see them both figure out what it is to be in a relationship since neither has ever really been in one before, it’s been quick hook-ups for them both. I thought that was especially sweet as they both try the romance thing – they definitely made me smile. They aren’t overly angsty or complicated, but do have things to figure out on their journey. Both of them are figuring out what…

Icing the Play

Myles and Cooper I have really enjoyed this series. I'm glad to see Myles find his one. Especially after all his friends found theirs. Definitely recommend reading.

Not a success for me 😭

I was looking forward to reading this book when I read the blurb, roommates to lovers? That sounds great to me but unfortunately I just couldn't get into the storytelling. The pacing felt off to me, some moments felt rushed and progressed quickly while others were too drawn out, it was almost as if there was a constant back and forth with the pacing that ultimately made it feel clunky. I've enjoyed Christie's other books but this one sadly I did not love.

Amazing ending to this series

So good! Glad to see Myles finally get his HEA. And the ending for all of them was perfect. Loved this series
