I loved this one so much! It’s the championship soccer game and Brandon is determined to win. What he didn’t count on was his ex-best friend and the only person he’s ever loved being in attendance. He hasn’t seen Parker in years not since the night their friendship imploded but he’s missed him terribly. Parker couldn’t resist seeing Brandon play, and maybe getting a chance to fix things. His life is in shambles, he’s on the verge of being kicked out of college and the only thing he has going for him is is club where he is working on becoming an MMA fighter. Brandon makes a dangerous play, trying to show off for Parker, that lands him in the hospital. It also lands him off his team’s Summer European tour. Lucky him though he gets the chance to attend an elite training program that he’s always wanted to go to called Summit. Brandon and Parker meet up and the t doesn’t go like either hoped. Even worse for Parker he loses his spot in the club. Now he’s forced to work for his cousin at Summit. Oh but neither knew the other would be there. Can they fix the problems between them? And what about the growing attraction? That’s especially new to Parker, who’s straight, right? It’s fine Brandon also has to keep his sexuality quiet as well. But with their spark is that even possible? And what happens to both their worlds if the truth comes out? So many cute and sweet moments in this one! I loved the complicated past between Brandon and Parker and that they both had obvious struggles to…

Excellent story if you can get past the Brit Lit
This story was so beautiful and layered. The characters had a lot of depth. There were multiple hurdles standing in the way of the growth of these two young men, both on a personal and relationship level. The author did a fantastic job of keeping the plot engaging, and in balancing the story. The main characters have great chemistry as both friends and lovers. I only have two real critics. One: this book has a lot of typos and grammatical errors. It could use a more thorough edit. Two: the author’s use of British English in an American setting is so jarring it is confusing. I found myself repeatedly checking that the story took place in the US because multiple characters, for no discernable reason, spoke in British English and used British spelling and grammar. This almost put me off the book entirely because the cultural dissimilarities were so distracting. However, I’m pleased that I gave this one a shot because it packed a powerful emotional punch and provided a catharsis with all the happy tears.
A nice character arch, fun characters, emotional depth without sobbing through the whole thing – overall enjoyable and pleasant read
This book was well worth reading. I loved the characters and their relationship dynamics. It was a lot of fun to read. Looking forward to more from this author. It was one of my favorite books of the year! Very much recommend.

I really loved these two together.
The banter and spice were perfect.
Parker had a lot of growing to do in order to find who he truly is and Brandon is always there for him.
