I got through this one quickly and I really enjoyed it. I would say it was the right amount of everything. Just the right amount of spice, sweet heartfelt moments, hilarious dialogue and low angst. This is a great book to read inbetween the more angsty stress inducing books that I usually read.
Im glad that it didn’t take Matthew and Liam long to realize and acknowledge their feelings for each other.

Two guys who tormented each other in school fall in love as part of a fake relationship
The concept of "Hired by the Enemy" is not new; a guy who leads a big company needs a fake relationship partner at a strategic development retreat in Hawaii. That the guy is who tormented him, and he's back during their school years is a twist. That they are both gay and fall in love is an incredible adventure for this wonderfully written book by Jax Calder.
She captures the terror, torment, and glee the two had plotting against each other, but one, Liam, came from a sad life with a less-than-total-caring single dad, the other, Matthew, who had loving parents and a good homelife.
These two nurture each other, more from Liam, who works as a personal trainer, and Matthew, who took an idea for an app to help motorists find a parking spot and became a millionaire, are together because Matthew used a service for a fake boyfriend for his business meeting. Liam instantly becomes a muse for Matthew, who has an older employee who denigrates Matthew's idea for posturing for the future.
The book wonderfully explores the past relationship between the two, each remembering some of the torment they caused each other – and Matthew learns how unhappy Liam's life was due to his divorced parents and his father not caring much about him living there with him. Those many years of tormenting each other also serve them well in the couple's quiz, where they must predict their partner's answers. Liam and Matthew finish first because they did know each other.
Liam's nurturing is appreciated by…

I really enjoyed this book. Liam and Matthew really did not like each other. They were both mean to each other growing up. It was nice seeing them figure things out and realize they did not in fact hate each other. I loved the Christmas Star at the end. It brought everything full circle for them. It was very sweet.
4.5 STARS: Matthew and Liam's enemies-lovers, fake relationship story is not only filled with plenty of laughs but readers also get a sweet new love wrapped in plenty of steamy times. As their relationship evolves, neither expects their hot physical connection as we watch them lift each other to face their insecurities and together find their HEA. Loved it and recommend.
