Description

Jax’s mission was simple: monitor Myles, ensure he poses no threat to the Silvercrest inner circle, and walk away. But the closer Jax watches, the more the lines between surveillance and obsession begin to blur. Myles is an introverted hacker with walls built high, but Jax finds the game of dismantling them intoxicating. What began as a strategic assignment quickly transforms into a primal need to possess the one person who makes the indifferent Jax feel alive. Myles is terrified of his own desires, desperate to resist the magnetic pull of the frat boy stalking his every move. Yet, when a shadow from the university’s dangerous underbelly threatens Myles’s life, Jax’s cold calculation shifts into lethal protection. Suddenly, the hunter becomes the shield, vowing to dismantle anyone who dares to touch what he now considers his. Set against the backdrop of an elite, secretive campus, Hide and Seek is an intense, volatile descent into a world of dark secrets and raw craving. Through forced proximity and the clash of opposites, Jax and Myles discover that some games aren't meant to be won—they’re meant to be surrendered to. Ready or not, the chase has only just begun.

Unexpected other Half

Myles is a nerdy guy who is very quiet and wants nothing more than to be left alone and disappear. But he has a submissive passion that he's never tapped into but is dying to unleash. Jax who is from the first book is a tall Greek God who is part of the Rebels and a twin. Hes part of the Hawthorne family. What turned into an assignment of watching became an unbridled obsession.

This one is definitely steamy

Jax and Myles have an unhealthy unhinged relationship born of obsession and sealed with dubcon and borderline primal play. It was amazingly dirty, entertaining and very spicy.

Hot and Nasty

I absolutely adore this series of Willow's if that's permissable with a dark romance! In this second book, Myles received a video showing his two blackmailers are no longer with us. In his college, he's a first generation, new money student in a dorm that's a joke for security. But he also is a genius hacker. Killian and Felix, Jace and Jax are back from the first book and are on to him and digging into his story as his blackmailers were Felix's. Jax is really into Myles, you're talking primally obsessed and seriously wanting the clueless Myles. Once Myles meets the one he's been sensing, he can't deny Jax owns him. It's dark, it's so steamy and hot, it's threatening which adds up to tingles. It gives meaning to the phrase " hot and nasty". Yum!

Silvercrest U: Book 2 | Jax + Myles

Silvercrest U: Book 2 This was a bit disappointing. I loved book one, but this one missed the mark. It was too long, too repetitive. The first half had little to no interaction between the main characters, which left us with A LOT of time with just their thoughts. There were moments that were great (usually when the characters had some actual interaction) – but then it would go right back to…..nothing. This author has always been hit or miss for me, so even though this one didn’t work for me – I’ll still be adding the next one to my list.

Very fun time playing games 🙌🏽

Hide & Seek is book 2 in the Silvercrest U series. It drops August 14th 2025. This book was so much fun to read!!! I love this series and I cannot wait for more. 🙌🏽 Jax is assigned to watch Myles and make sure he is no longer a threat. But the more he watches, the more interested he becomes. Myles knows he is being watched. Instead of that scaring him, it excites him. And then the games begin and when these two start to play. Hot. Dang. 🥵 This book had me hooked. Not only do you have Myles and Jax with all their fun and "games" 🤭 you also have suspense, action, mystery and side characters that truly keep you engaged and wanting more. And let me tell ya I do want more!! On a quick side note, Jax and Jace are hilarious. I love their banter and their twin dynamic is something else! These two had me legit LOL. Some of the things they said I didn't expect to come out of their mouths. Like this little gem... "But then again, I’m sure I’d have a giant chip on my shoulder and take my insecurities out on unarmed students too if I could *ahem* a Cheerio without breaking it.” 😂 I'll leave you with that little nugget 🤭
