Excellent series - read them all!
Read this series if you love low-angst, sweet and spicy, found family, family of origin shenanigans, adorable, neurospicy, empathetic, and thoughtful MM romance! I deeply enjoyed each of the books in the Brannon Boys series and I can't recommend them highly enough!

First in new series of sweet, low angst gay romance with lots of steam
First off, I loved the cover; perfect depiction of Cormac. I also loved Cormac Brannon’s crazy family: loud, mouthy and in each other’s business! Cormac is the middle child of five and as such feels invisible within his family. He and his brother Ollie work for and with their father at Brannon Contractors. Interesting that the author has given us cameos of characters from other books by her so that we can see how they are getting on with their chosen partner. With this book Ms. McIntyre brings together Felix and Cor along with their families: Felix’s brother, Marcos with his wife Ruby and their lover, Kelsey, a throuple; Cormac’s brother Ollie and his partner Liam, all of whom have had their own books. There are others too whose names you will recognize. Big burley Cormac has feelings for the much smaller straight guy he fences with every month. A pretend date will lead to more. Love Felix and Cor together. Felix allows Cor to be something in their relationship that most others had not. I am truly anxious to read the next book about Cormac’s brother Declan and his “not friend” Noah. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.
If you like yourMC loving and possessive as they work out their way to a HEA together this book is for you. Also heat level 2.5/5 I LOVE it when the big guy likes to bottom.
But more than that there’s such a connection between these two and there’s so much heart. Things fall into place pretty easy with a few hiccups along the way. Totally worth a read. Will be following for more!

The characters were so sweet and so fun together, I loved how they interacted with each other. The storyline was great and I really enjoyed it a lot.
Imperfect, but cute and sweet
3.5 stars.
This was fine for what it was ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ ) Honestly, and I do think this is relevant to mention because it did get in the way of the reading experience, but I don't think the writing was very good. It wasn't awful, it just wasn't great. For example, Cor starts by saying that he met Felix 4 months ago, and then a few pages later it's 6 months ago. One typo would've been fine, but in every Cor chapter, we're reminded that he's the middle child and feels unseen, except Felix does see him. With every Felix chapter we get the reminder that he moved away from the city to be independent. There's sooo much repetition, and the fake dating part, while sometimes cute, was mostly just meaningless because they were both openly in love from the beginning. I'm not saying Felix had to have a bi-crisis, but the fact that there was no buildup almost at all just felt a little boring to me because then most of the story was just them sleeping together.
Don't get me wrong though! This was completely angst-free and so sweet at times and really what I needed, and I actually really loved the love confession, so if you want a sweet story with charming characters and some really good spice, then this'll be a good one to pick up ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ )
