I loved Seb & Flynn's story ( cause Vamp... duh). I loved how Teddy & Rory function together as a unit together. And I was Frothing at the mouth to see how Kit finally gets his mate in Felix. The stalking was kind of a surprise but also.... not really. As you read through their story you realize how absolutely awkward these two dorks are. Which makes them a perfect fit. Kit is so patience and steadfast in nature. While Felix is quiet and very flighty. These two men are perfect together. They are both shy in nature, but when they finally come together.... they burn bright! I'm talking some spice. Some first times. Now, this book does flash back and forth between past and present. If that bothers you.... try to stick with it. I love how militarized Kit's brain in during the flashbacks in the chapter beginnings. Absolutely died laughing when he had to abort mission. You have to check it out to see what I mean. Felix is just totally sweetly oblivious about Kit's feelings for him, although he knows he is being followed. That isn't their only problem though. This book has it all. Want angst, got it. Spice? Enough to satisfy! It’s great to see characters that were in other books find the love of their life. Kit and Felix are perfect for each other. Despite the whole stalker thing. Need to read to find out!?

Once again, TJ Rose hits it out of the park. I love this series, with its ensemble cast of misfit supernatural characters and humans and this installment was no exception. I devoured Kit and Felix’s story (would have finished it the same day I started if not for that whole pesky “work” thing) . It has so many of my favorite elements: the hurt/comfort, awkward/insecure MMC, fated mates, found family… Is this a deep, dark character study, writhing in pain and heart-wrenching angst? Not at all… but that’s not what it’s meant to be. I mean, this is TJ Rose so the characters are very well-written, as always, and there is some angst, of course (this is romance, after all, with supernatural intrigue)… but that’s not what this series is about. It’s about the found family and fated mates of it all… friends working together and supporting one another, mates finding each other and either fighting or embracing the pull… it is a joyful, silly, and, at times, suspenseful romp with our Killigrew crew and it was exactly the fun and engaging read that I needed in this moment. I was worried that we may have reached the end of this series… until she threw a delightful curveball at us in the final pages. The teaser for the next book was everything… how dare you make me wait to read the next story?! 🤣 Thank you to the author for supplying this ARC… my opinions are honest and my own.

I’ve never identified so heavily with both Kit and Felix’s levels of socially awkward 😅 Seeing them finally work it out and be together was so satisfying and put the biggest smile on my face! It took me a second to get used to the time jumps but once I did it was fun to see how Felix and Kit came together as a couple in between the mystery of who had taken Kit. Felix truly overcame all of his inner anxieties and insecurities to save the day and rescue Kit in the most outrageous but entertaining way possible, with Rory as his partner. Kit, although not always showing it in the right way, is the ultimate lover boy and I could only wish for a love as devoted and caring as his love for Felix!! I love them all so much and can’t wait to see how the team tackles their next case in the next book!

Hello… I’m coming from my unwell shallow husk that was once me. This book really took my heart for a ride through the emotional washing machine that I wasn’t prepared for. Kit’s two years of pining just about took me out and Felix being so down on himself. You wanted to take these two and pack them up for safety with additional bubble wrap. I silently cried through like 75% of this book and I don’t think I took a full breath the entire time I read it. The way I’m already so preaching the ways of this series is crazy. I love EVERY ONE OF THEM. Watching these two navigate a pining to lovers relationship will hurt you. Just a heads up but you will enjoy every minute of it. Thanks TJ Rose you monster.
