Another fine gift from Devon that reminds us that the bonding lust, compassion and respect can make you blissfully Happy. What I liked most was Mikey coming to terms with his sexual fulfillment more than notches on the bedpost. Witnessing how Scott and Mikey discover the essence of what friendship, support, and unconditional love to overcome their fears and let go of the crippling emotional baggage to find true happiness. From the first few chapters we knew where it would end up, it would have been interesting to have Jordan out himself earlier in the story. The sexual scenes provided the visual imagery that the author is so gifted in creating and keeping me aroused and engaged. Well done.

A sexy romp between Mikey, a previously straight guy, in town visiting family and staying with his brother Jordan, and Jordan's best friend/ roommate Scott, an out and proud gay man. The way these two meet is hilarious, and the fun just keeps on coming as they get together. Some family drama on both sides keeps the story interesting. It has a great hea and epilogue. All is going well until the abrupt and imo unfinished ending.

A book to read, re-read and then to re-read at least one more time!!
My first book by author Devon McCormack, and it went right to my Top 5 Favorite Gay Romance Fiction books - ever!!
And take note: F U is more than a middle finger; it also stands for "Fixer Uppers"
This story is super cleverly constructed. The auxiliary characters are fundamental to the 2x main characters, Mikey & Scott - as well as their vastly different families. Jordan & Kate (brother & sister, also to Mikey) are the 3rd & 4th most important characters in this story, and in several ways the glue & magnet that caused Scott & Mikey to get interested in each other.
I don't wanna give away more of this amazing story in this review; yet I try my best to provide an appetizer for all review readers and to encourage you to buy this book. I think it is fair to say that Devon McC has created multi-dimensional characters in this book.
I can't begin to share the little details which make integral parts of this awesome story..........e.g. the tattoo Mikey has under his left arm. The importance of deciding whether one's family is "salvageable" enough to integrate into your gay life, is also an important component of this wonderful gay romance fiction.
I can not recommend this book strongly enough. If you haven't discovered it yet - go right ahead and order it from amazon right away. You will fall in love with this story and especially, Mikey, Scott, Jordan & Kate! 12/10 Devon McCormack!!

The sex is hot, steamy, and fun. However the storyline seemed a little thin to me. Lots of dysfunctional family dynamics that were described as very traumatic when in reality they might be seen by many as somewhat ordinary family issues. Yet these issues propelled the storyline and the problems in connecting for the major characters. I got a little bored from time to time, but it's an OK read. Other reviewers liked it a lot more than I did. One more thing, I don't think the cover fits the book very well, but then that happens more often than not these days. "Don't judge a book by its cover," true that.

Warm, caring, sweet - loved this story
These two guys (Mikey and Scott) didn't get off to a great start, but things turned around for them pretty quickly. And then things were awesome. Mikey can't get over how nice a guy Scott is. He is genuinely so nice. Scott has a hard time comprehending how Mikey has had his first m/m experience and he's not freaking out.
These two are so great together. They are super funny and have very open, honest communication (most of the time). They are thoughtful and considerate of each other and BONUS, they are smoking hot! Scott has issues with his father that have sort of messed with his head. Mikey has issues with both of his parents and those have messed with his head big time! Besides the romance, this is part of the story that drives the plot.
I only became aware of Devon McCormack recently when I read a collaborative effort of his (Metropolis, with Riley Hart). He's a good writer! I read this book as a KU subscriber but I have now purchased it because it will go in my 'comfort' category on my kindle. I'll read it again when I need something encouraging, and sweet and cozy. 4 1/2 stars
