First, I loved book one in this series, Sick Bargain. Excellent book. .but this one was even better! I loved the games between Ghost & Riot and loved how they pushed each other. Loved them as Ghost & Riot, but also loved them as Soren and Killian. This book was dark and twisted but also soft when they became vulnerable with each other. I loved how they both tried to dominate each other. I hated to put the book down when I needed to go to sleep, but I had to so I could get up and go to work the next day! Ha. I actually started to read this book slower than I usually do so I could make it last longer. Ghost & Riot had off the charts chemistry. It was cool to see two psychos become romantic and get involved with each other. It was hot, spicy and delicious. The town they lived in called Moros is such a creepy, eerie and complex place as the background for this series. And the role that music and instruments play is very emotional. I highly recommend this series and will for sure reread these books! Oh, and the two best things about this book besides sexy Ghost & Riot. . "sweetheart" and "just in case". OMG.
Absolutely love the vile house series !!! I need the rest now!!!! I can't wait for monster and kyds story
***Potential Spoilers in the Vaguest Way Possible***
Nordika does it again! All of her books are beautifully written and develop wonderfully broken characters, but I love the Vile Boys most, by far.
Moros as a town and setting is dark and messed up in all the best ways, which perfectly complements its residents' overall mentality and actions. The way it's written makes you feel like you're also a resident, and you become progressively more possessive and protective of (and invested in) the crazy place as the overall story develops, which is all down to Nordika's top-tier world-building.
As for the MCs, Riot and Ghost are so different from Krypt and Remiel (Book One: Sick Bargain), and I'm not sure which pair I love more because they are so very different and their relationships develop in such different ways. Both are fraught with strife, violence, noncon/dubcon, trauma, and anger, but where Krypt and Remi somehow end up with a dark, obsessive love, Riot and Ghost end up unexpectedly vulnerable, and it totally works for them.
Finally, I cannot wait for Kyd's book because he's simply a delight every time his character is mentioned. I know it's probably at least two more books away, but I can't help getting excited every time he talks/does something in either of the existing books. I just know his story is going to be a blast. ❤️
Anyway, 10/10, highly recommend!! Please start with book one, though, because even though each story focuses on a different couple, there is…

First of all, I stayed up until midnight the night this book released, waiting for my pre-order because I just KNEW I would want to start it asap. I have no regrets. Sleep deprivation, a bit, but regrets? None.
I loved 'Sick Bargain' and the beginning of the 'Vile House' series so much that I squeaked and pre-ordered 'Fragile Facade' the second I was able to. Not only did Nordika Night come through once again with a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece full of all the feels, a dark and twisted take on a different kind of love, and continuing this crazy plotline so freaking wonderfully, but also managed to make me like this book MORE than book one.
Like, HOW? Sick Bargain became a core character book for me, but Fragile Facade just blew that one out of the water. Soren and Killian have a preview of intense back and forth in book one that carries over immediately into book two, and I am just my own kind of shattered watching their story unfold.
I had to set my phone (Kindle app) down a couple of times just to let myself process what I was feeling while reading this. Words just can't do it justice. It's a beautiful, toxic game that becomes so much more. Truly is where volatile meets vulnerable. Emotions are hard, and our boys are still trying to find out what the heck is going on, whether it's dark and twisted or soft and intimate, but I'm obsessed. Love this series!!

I am loving the Vile House series and book 2 did not disappoint. This series must be read in order due to it having interconnected characters and an overarching plot. Each book features a different couple but also progresses the overall plot of the series. Welcome back to the very dark and interesting world of Moros. In Fragile Facade we dive into Ghost and Riot’s relationship. Can a narcissist and a sociopath fall in love? In this book Ghost and Riot mess around and find out. I really enjoyed how their dynamic began to shift as the book progressed. They push each other's buttons and play games with each to see who wins. But then what it means to win changes, and they are both forced to feel their feelings. And they are kicking and screaming and totally thrown for a loop when they do. Things also escalate in regards to the overarching plot about Moros and I do mean they escalate. Phew. It was cool to learn more about Moros history, meet some of its other residents and learn their backstories. We also get to learn more about Ghost’s family and the infamous Sauder curse. This book was so good that I did not want to put it down. I can’t wait for book 3.
