Description

Flint is the Agency’s finest sniper—a lethal snake shifter who prides himself on his precision and his independence. During a high-stakes mission, he crosses paths with his fated mate, Arrow, a talented wolf shifter from the Cybercrimes unit. But the meeting is a disaster. Arrow, intimidated and impulsive, blurts out insults that cut deep, essentially branding Flint and his team as inadequate. Unable to stomach the disrespect, Flint walks away, focused on the kill, but left with a hollow ache in his soul that only a rejected mating bond can cause. Arrow is painfully aware he blew his one chance at a soulmate. Haunted by his own sharp tongue and the realization that he drove away the one person meant for him, he becomes desperate to find the elusive blond assassin. He knows that apologies aren’t enough; he has to prove his worth through steadfast action. As the mating pull intensifies, drawing them toward a collision course, they face external threats from those determined to dismantle their bond. Can Arrow prove he has changed, or will the weight of their first mistake keep them apart forever? This is a tale of redemption, volatile chemistry, and the resilience of a love written in the stars.

Great story

I really enjoyed Flint and Arrow's story. After reading about their first meeting in the epilogue of Devon and Wren's book, I really disliked Arrow. I wasn't sure how the author was going to redeem him and make him worthy of Flint. But, she was absolutely able to do it. Arrow had to take a hard look in the mirror to see what he'd done to his fated mate and then work hard to overcome what he did and said to Flint at their first meeting. Flint made him work for it but that's what made their relationship so strong.

Great story and an HEA long in coming

Lisa did a lovely job getting Flint and Arrow together. Wow, it was a lot of work and it took combined efforts of the whole team (the whole family) to help them work it out. Great job! Can’t wait to read about Calvin and Levi and their third. Will be sorry to see the end of this series.

A great trip back to Assassins' Alley

Flint and Arrow are really good together, once they sort themselves out. It's the sorting out that gives this book just the right level of angst. I live the Assassins' Alley books, and it's fun to see familiar faces. Definitely recommend this book and am eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
