Description

For three long years, Jace has treated life like a game where the only stakes that matter are the ones he sets himself. When it comes to Shane, the rivalry is personal, electric, and fueled by a friction that neither man can fully explain. To everyone else, they are enemies clashing within the elite corridors of Silvercrest University, but Jace knows the truth: Shane’s defensive walls are cracking, and his denial is finally starting to slip. When an unexpected mission forces the two frat brothers into close quarters to infiltrate a rival’s secrets, the line between combat and desire vanishes. Constant sparring gives way to a high-stakes game of push and pull, where every heated argument is just a prelude to something far more dangerous. As the pretense falls away, Jace realizes that his obsession has turned into a permanent claim, and he is determined to possess a man who refuses to admit exactly what he craves. Set against the backdrop of a clandestine world of power and privilege, Fight or Flight is an intense, high-tension journey of self-discovery and obsession. It is a raw, provocative exploration of a long-simmering attraction that refuses to be ignored any longer.

Is it hate or is it passion?

Jace is a very closed person. His circle is tight and he doesn't let others in unless they earn it. Shane is a guy who is trying to be the person his parents want him to be. When these to frienamie's worlds collide in an unexpected way the passion that ensues is palpable.

My Favorite Twin

Jace and Shane start out at each other’s throats but later learn to love each other. This is definitely enemies to lovers and I am here for it. Jace is my favorite twin and I am so happy to see him get his forever love.

Jace & Shane 💕

Spicy Level: 🌶🌶🌶🌶 / 5 Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 Tropes: 💕 Rivals to Lovers 💕 Hurt / Comfort 💕 Bi-Awakening 💕 Dual POV Before I read this Book, I thought the twins would have similar story lines. But I was totally wrong. Willow Dixon made each Twin their own unique person with their own stories. With the trope of being Rivals to Lovers, but you get the feeling they never hate/dislike eachother in the beginning. Jace like to annoying him and they like to fight / bickering with eachother. Shane just didnt want to be close with someone and lose them. Secret Society, Kinks, Fighting, Possessive MC, Touch Him and Die. Can't go wrong with these tropes! Jace and Shane story was beautifully written. I could barely put it down. You feel the love from Jace even though he has antisocial personality disorder (psycho). I wish there was more chapters to tell us more about the couple. But I guess I just have to wait for Xave story next.

almost a 5⭐️ read…

I was so into Jace & Shane’s story. I was waiting for it. They were my favorite couple. Even with the repetitious gym meetups. They were very hot, don’t get me wrong. But how many times can Shane be completely shocked & have the exact same responses to Jace either coming to the gym, or being there when he’s there? Same dialogue, etc. All of that aside, I was still invested. It was so good until the last 25%. Then the story just jumped the shark. SPOILER ALERT: After the big mystery with the mole, Shane’s tragic backstory, the Leadership, the twins skills, the blackmail, Shane immediately deciding not to trust Jace for silly reasons, etc, (I guessed the mole early on) We were totally cheated out of the satisfying wrap-up & conclusion! No on the page scenes? No justice that we can read about? Are you kidding me? Just a few past-tense wrap up sentences and that’s it?! I couldn’t believe that was the end! I literally felt like I read this book for nothing. It’s like opening a present & the box is empty. Jace & Shane (& us) deserved so much better! They need a novella or something. It felt like the author just rushed through the last half like they ran out of time & needed to finish it. That section definitely does not match the first third of the book. This is my first Willow Dixon disappointment & I hope it’s the last. I’m hoping there is A LOT of Jace & Shane in Xavi’s book.

Welcome back to Silvercrest U 😊

Another wonderful addition to the series. I thoroughly enjoyed Jace and Shane’s dynamic and bickering. It was so obvious from the start that beneath all their “I hate you” exchanges, there was something else that was simmering. It was so interesting to see how Jace was experiencing new emotions, which, for the average person, are easily recognizable, but not for someone like Jace. I truly enjoyed his journey in understanding and processing these newfound emotions. Shane was more challenging to understand even than Jace, maybe because he was still hiding his true self until the very end. But for me, he was a character whose heart was still grieving and needed someone to show him that it’s acceptable to be himself, and not just to be someone fulfilling the expectations of others. I wish we got more interactions between the found family and Shane. And I wished it had been given more light to that particular night from Shane’s past. There are a few questions that I don’t think I got my answers to. Once again, I loved the mystery aspect within the story. Every plot twist in the series makes my jaw fall to the floor. I was so sure of myself that I knew who the “big bad wolf” was, but nooooo, I was not even close to my guess. It was such a nice surprise. This book was less spicy, for me, than the first two books. But the scenes, as always, did NOT disappoint 😮‍💨🫠 🔥 The story was fast-heat, but definitely slow-burn in feelings. Likeeee very slow, and I honestly needed…
