Don't Leave Me: A Second Chance Step Sisters Romance (Club Pétale)

Eden Emory

Description

In this intense and alluring installment of the Club Pétale series, Eden Emory delivers a provocative exploration of desire, trauma, and the messy, beautiful complexity of second chances. When the past resurfaces in the form of a former flame, the protagonist finds herself pulled back into a world where forbidden walls are meant to be broken. This story centers on a gripping sapphic connection, weaving a narrative that balances heavy emotional stakes with the exploration of power dynamics and raw, uninhibited intimacy. At its heart, the book is a dark, character-driven romance that doesn’t shy away from the edges of experience. From the careful integration of BDSM elements—including evocative scenes involving piercing—to the way the narrative artfully stitches together fragmented memories, every detail serves the chemistry between the leads. While it functions perfectly as a standalone, the rich backstory provides a depth that makes the emotional payoff feel earned. With prose that is as polished as it is sultry, Emory crafts an unapologetically honest look at bisexual identity and the struggle to move forward when the person you left behind still has a hold on your soul. It is a bold, addictive read for those who favor high-tension, high-heat storytelling.

Amazing sapphic dark romance

4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.💫 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ SQUEALS IN SAPPHIC DELIGHT!!! Where do I begin? This is everything I could’ve wanted in a dark romance with a HEA. Eden Emory does NOT miss and certainly doesn’t skimp out on the spice. The characters in the Club Pétale series are relatable. They are so vulnerable which makes the reading experience that much more enjoyable. Emory’s characters are multidimensional. You are left at the end wanting more because you know you’ll miss reading about them. Sloan and Lillian? These two really make you feel all the emotions. Angst, sadness, love, happiness, and hope. I could go on and on. Emory’s story telling is incredible. The writing is accessible and it reads like candy. I tend to fly through their books because of this. The way this author crafts a story is like trying to finish a difficult puzzle. Never sure where the pieces are going to fit, but once you complete it, the reward makes you feel elated with joy. I cannot wait for the next book. Please, if you are looking for a sapphic dark romance, you need to pick up this series. Each book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read the first book in the series, Don’t Stop Me.

my, oh my…

When I first met Sloan, I wasn’t like most. She didn’t necessarily intrigue me as much as Ax and Nyx did. I knew she was there, but my attention wasn’t on her. I actually didn’t care for the scene with her, Ax, and Nyx. Although, they all like “sharing.” So, it made sense. But once I started reading about Sloan, I immediately wanted to know more. What I found myself enjoying was the “then and now” and it worked very well telling this story. Both Sloan and Lillian suffered childhood trauma from a parent each. And it followed them throughout life. I fell in love at first meet with Lillian when she first met Sloan at the tender age of six. They were both so adorable. You knew something magical had happened. Lillian from the first meet came open and vulnerable. And she found safety in Sloan in all ways. I also like how Louise loved Lillian. That love was just as fierce for her as it was for Sloan. Young Sloan was no nonsense. That “backpack” told me everything I needed to know about her. She loved deeply and without abandon. The love she had for her mother was unfathomable. I didn’t know how they were going to bridge this gap between them that spanned more than a decade apart. It was taboo, any relationship they would have. But the only people that mattered was themselves and their mother. And the mother that Sloan had that loved and survived what she had, there was no way she would miss something so significant. I adored Louise as much as I adored Lillian. The younger…

don’t need to tell me twice

I throughly enjoyed their story! It was a nice take, Lillian and Sloan both are perfect for each other but still have their own identities! Their past histories I do wish was a little more and the build a little more but all honestly I really did love this

This series is elite!

I can’t decide which is my favorite between the first book and this one..I love them both! Sloane and Lillian are so insanely in love with each other but they don’t know how to talk about their feelings so they spend years in misery trying to fill the void. Step siblings is an elite trope for a reason, and this book executes it perfectly! The tension and angst combined with the forced proximity..it’s the ideal setup and it was everything! The spice was spicing! Some of the best written shmex scenes I’ve read in a while. You believe in their connection and root for them to get it together the entire time. It’s not an easy journey to their HEA but when you finally get there, it’s so sweet! This series needs to get a whole lot more attention because I don’t think Eden Emory is showing any signs of slowing down! Read this!!
