Description

In the shadow of a life once carefully constructed, one woman finds her world fractured by the unexpected arrival of a long-buried truth. Deliverance is a raw, heart-wrenching journey into the complexities of desire, identity, and the heavy price of liberation. As the protagonist navigates the jagged edges of her own past, she is drawn into a whirlwind of emotional discovery that challenges everything she thought she knew about love and her own heart. This isn’t just a story about moving forward; it is about the agonizing, beautiful process of tearing down walls to reveal the person hiding beneath. Along the way, the narrative weaves an intense, unapologetically spicy romance that sizzles with chemistry and tension, proving that heartbreak and passion are often two sides of the same coin. With finely tuned pacing and plot twists that land with surgical precision, Katelyn Taylor delivers a poignant exploration of bisexuality and the courage it takes to claim one’s own happiness. Fans of character-driven fiction will find themselves swept away by the vulnerability of the prose. Deliverance is the kind of book that leaves you breathless, forever altered by the intensity of its emotional landscape.

Katelyn Taylor does it AGAIN

Okay y’all THIS BOOK. THIS is the one. I was simply ✨obsessed✨ Let me preface this by saying, this is the first FF/sapphic romance I have ever read, and it definitely won’t be the last! I loved these characters so much. I fell in love with Maggie during the Gallows Hill series, and I was so excited to delve deeper into her character with Deliverance. Her and Bridgette are both so beautifully flawed. They both struggle in their own ways and are just trying to find some freedom in a world and society that was designed to keep them down. I loved getting a behind the scenes look at what was happening to them and the events that happens in Gallows Hill. Bridgette was one of those characters that I hated at first. She was rude, a total butthead (think another b word but I don’t want my review to get flagged 😂☠️) and just stuck up. I loved seeing her character develop throughout the book. I especially loved that she was finally able to get help and started seeing a therapist. I truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy. Even the most stable people. But seeing her go through that process and open up and move through her trauma was such good character development. By the end of the book, I loved her and I just want more! I was so happy to see her and Mags get the happy ending the both deserve and find their family with Skyla and the guys. It may be dysfunctional, but it definitely works for them. I’m so sad to see the gallows hill world come to an end, but I loved every…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

To someone who did not read the trilogy for the world this book is based in, I’d say it’d be best to read that first before reading this because even though I knew this to be Maggie and Bridgette’s story, I felt like I was missing pieces as I was reading (obv). That aside, I honestly loved the complexity of this story and the characters. It’s been a while since a book has hit me right in the feels but that’s because the experiences of the MCs are so relevant and relatable. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a spicy dark romance with sapphic representation and twists you’d never see coming.

Seeking Deliverance

Overall Rating: 💋💋💋💋💋/5 🔥 rating: 🔥🔥🔥/5 (well-balanced with plot!) *slowly claps for Katelyn Taylor* Wow… This was my first FF Romance, and it was amazing! When we first meet Bridgette in Deceit, we see the popular “pick-me” girl. Bridgette is full of rage, jealousy, entitlement, hatred, and determination to have what isn’t hers. We also meet Maggie—the funny, nonchalant, charming, and Gallows Hill Uni’s very own playgirl. Deliverance, however, shows us the true nature of these characters. What happened last summer? Well… a lot! It’s truly a complicated, sorrowful, and beautiful story of two people who want to exist in a world where they are free. Free of judgment. Free of control. Free of titles. Instead, they created their own bubble. A bubble where they could share stolen looks, touches, and kisses. They found peace and laughter in their stolen moments. It was something unexplainable yet so right. Bridgette isn’t just some mean girl looking to ruin lives for fun. No, she was a woman looking to survive a cruel world she had known since she was 13. No one knew what was happening to the queen bee. While reading, the sentence that broke me was “I lost count around my sixteenth birthday”. My tears were overwhelming, and I understood her coping mechanisms and need to escape. Maggie’s story was no less heartbreaking. She lived under the command of a judgmental and “ashamed” mother. A “mother” who condemned her daughter to the worst fate only because Maggie did not…

Fantastic!

⭐️: 5/5 Maggie is an outcast from the secret society that thrives at Gallows Hill. Not only is she labeled a rebel but is not so subtly pushing back against their standards of arranged marriages and subservient women. Maggie gets involved with her new stepsister what was a quick fling turned into more and turned their worlds upside down. 💋Dark Academia 💋Stepsisters 💋Secret Society 💋Bi-Awakening Let me just say Katelyn did it again, sent me on an emotional whirl wind that I should expect, but still was not ready for. I was so happy to be back at Gallows Hill again! I loved the parallel run of this story to the beginning of the series. The storyline for these to was absolutely fantastic. I could not put the book down. Seeing the other side of Bridgette definitely changed my view on her character (obviously a little villainous in the beginning). I honestly did not expect the turn of events in this book and was fully was expecting a cliffie. I am both sad and happy the Brigette and Maggie got their HEA. I can’t wait to read more of Katelyn’s universe! Audio: I absolutely loved this audio! I absolutely devoured it. CJ Bloom and Heather Firm knocked this out of the park. The actors voices were soothing and had a district quality that I loved (the slight rasp in Maggie’s 😩 to die for). The “mommy” scene 🥵 as I affectionately call it was just that much better in audio. Some of the scenes were definitely harder to listen to than read for be, but that is obviously a…

Amazing!!!

So this book was the spin off book that I didn’t even know that I needed and Deliverance it definitely delivered! Such intense situations and backgrounds and just the overall dynamics of the characters made for an intriguing storyline that had me hooked from the very beginning. All the angst, traumas and lust that flowed through this book hit all the feels! Make sure to read the trigger warnings because there are a few things that happen that can definitely hit pretty hard. So with all of that covered, I will add that it was smoking HOT!!! The FF action (my first one) was on point and perfectly executed. Just hold on to what you got because it is a wild ride. And if you find this book first, check out Gallows Hill trilogy before you dive into this one. This is a stand alone but you could feel like there are some holes (not big ones, just feeling like you could have more info about that scene) and if you read Gallows Hill first, then you will totally know and understand everything. Great book and I highly recommend it!
