Description

In the crumbling, shadow-drenched halls of a forgotten estate, the atmosphere is thick with more than just dust and secrets. Alexia Onyx weaves a spellbinding gothic romance that captures the ache of mental health struggles with raw, unflinching honesty. The story follows a protagonist navigating the heavy, suffocating fog of depression and the frantic, flickering intensity of ADHD. As they attempt to confront the ghosts of their past, they find themselves drawn into a magnetic, high-stakes romance that defies neat categorizations. This is a love story that honors the fluidity of the heart, painting a vivid portrait of a bisexual protagonist finding solace and passion in the most unexpected—and perhaps, supernatural—of places. Described as a dark, invigorating cup of coffee for the soul, the prose is as atmospheric as it is intimate. Onyx masterfully balances the haunting aesthetics of a gothic mystery with a deeply human journey toward healing. It is a story about emerging from the darkness, learning to be seen, and discovering that even the most fragile hearts can find their way home. For readers seeking a beautiful, bittersweet, and ultimately triumphant exploration of love and identity, this book is an essential, heart-wrenching escape.

Dark. Twisted. Hauntingly beautiful and spicy.

This book was EVERYTHING. Omg. I went in fairly blind. Knew it was a ghost romance but honestly nothing else. I glanced at the trigger page just to check for anything but didn't see any of mine so I dove right in. And wow. It had me hooked from the start. I was immediately sucked in and gone for. Aiden was everything. He was broken, and beautiful, and obsessive, and demanding, and ugh. Skye was hauntingly beautiful and broken as well. Them coming together was so good. Watching their broken pieces come together, I loved it. Was it healthy? Probably not. But is that what we want in books? Or something we expect in a dark ghost romance? Absolutely not. The spice was top tier. This to me was a good example of good plot with a good hefty amount of spice as well. I was salivating. The book does glamorize some darker and trigger warning topics, but it's warned in the beginning, and it's a common theme in dark romances. But it's something to think about before reading. All in all, amazing read. I loved it and I cannot wait for the authors next book

interesting

This was a very interesting read. I wasn’t quite sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this. I liked the take on the romance and I enjoyed it. I also liked the characters. I felt bad for the fmc, emotions brought to life.

Amazing spice little story

The spice was great but the story line was lacking. Overall it was a good read however I wish there were more of a story line.

whens it gonna be MY TURN to move into a haunted house and get a ghost boyfriend???

hands down, my favorite arc of the year; but before I get into the gushing here are some highlights of things I really loved about it. 👻 plus-sized fmc 👻 mental health rep 👻 bi/pan rep 👻 THE SPICE?!?!?! 😮‍💨 👻 come on, we've all wanted a ghost boyfriend before, right? 👻 the playlist is ‎️‍‎️‍🔥 the most important thing to me as a dark romance reader, is reader safety. please take a moment to check over the trigger warnings before you decide to pick up this book 🙏 it's a heavy one. the first thing i noted when i read come out, come out was the level of care put into the TW list. It really shows how much Alexia cares about her readers to have included a chapter-by-chapter breakdown of the triggers in the back of the book for those who need it and even made a point to include resources. give me a spooky book with a plus-sized fmc and I'm going to clear my entire schedule to read it. every time, can't help myself. alexia delivers. skye's story doesn't revolve around her body or the fact that she's a plus-size woman, it doesn't hinder her sexuality, but it's also not just a label thrown on her and rarely mentioned again after the first chapter. she's so relatable in her narrative that it actually hurts, but i love that feeling. you can feel every scrap of raw emotion that was poured onto the pages of this book. i love that alexia's writing made me feel so seen. skye is the loml and if i could steal her from aiden i would ✨✨✨ aiden is proof that not every…

Completely different

It didn't go where I thought but it was good regardless. Tortured souls, love, loss, suffering, and murder make up this truly unique story. This book is dark. It deals with very serious topics of mental illness, suicide, depression, drug use, bullying and death. It is worth the read but be forewarned it is dark.
