Description

Jo and Alex have finally found their rhythm, but navigating the complexities of a high-stakes workplace romance is rarely a smooth path. As the holiday season descends upon the city, the air is thick with both festive cheer and lingering professional tension. For Jo, balancing her burgeoning feelings with the demands of a career that requires constant vigilance is a delicate tightrope walk. Meanwhile, Alex must confront the shadows of her past while striving to build a future that includes the woman who has fundamentally changed her perspective on life. This sequel captures the rare magic of a relationship that feels both lived-in and exhilaratingly new. The narrative balances the cozy, heart-warming traditions of a Christmas romance with the underlying pulse of suspense that keeps every interaction electrified. Readers will find themselves deeply invested in the authentic connection between these two women, whose chemistry is grounded in mutual respect and undeniable passion. This is a story about the bravery required to love openly and the quiet strength found in choosing each other every single day. Warm, sophisticated, and deeply human, this conclusion to the duet offers a satisfying exploration of what it truly means to belong to someone else.

Talk about a feel good read!

How on earth Alix Marren wrote this sweet story with such warmth without it being saccharin is beyond me. I loved it! Jo and Alex are characters we all would want in our lives.

Great follow up

Just right! I love the way Marren made a sequel, equal to, if not better than, Chasing Red.

This is one of those rare times where 5 stars isn't enough

The whole series had exceptional writing. You could have an ongoing series of books about Alex and Jo and your readers would never be bored. People say, " I couldn't put it down." I hated to put it down to go to the bathroom, but needs must. The ending was perfect but I'm serious, there could be a wedding, (yes I'm spoiling it but the writing about those proposals were worth swooning over and I'm too old to swoon lol) they could move to London, the list of more stories are never ending when you have two great characters to build on.

Great book, I liked the first; Chasing Red. Then this one was so good too. Nice quick refreshing read. Look forward to more work from Alix.
