loved it! 10/10 recommend
Loved this book. Yes, it started a little slow for me, but once it hit? I was feral. Could not put it down.
The spice was *chef’s kiss* and that one scene? Whew. Dante, that imagination of yours is creative (wink wink).
Also, if there’s another book in this series and a certain chew toy is involved… I swear, if anything happens to them, I will riot. That character was everything, and the absolute silliness they brought to the story made it even better.

New Twist on Demons and Angels
This book was so good! I loved the set up of 2 chapters for one character then switching to one chapter for another POV. It allowed for more story-telling without the chapters feeling rushed. Honestly had no idea where Coebin's character was gonna go, and I wish we got a little bit more background after the reveal. Great dynamics, in love with the protective spouse trope!
This book was just as good, if not better, than the original one! All Ivy desires on this earth is Emma, and Emma has completely forgotten her existence. I was captivated by this story as quickly as I could turn on my Kindle. Dante, you did an excellent job, and now, please give us a third book, if possible!

This is a raw, high-stakes urban fantasy romance that serves as the second installment in the After the Breaking series. Following the events of the first book, this sequel shifts the focus to a story of lost time, forgotten vows, and the desperate search for a second chance in a world that has already ended. The story centers on Ivy, a demon who has spent twenty grueling years trapped inside an unwilling human host, forced into silence while the world collapsed around her. Her only motivation for survival is finding Emma, the angel she was married to before the Breaking tore them apart. When Ivy finally gains her freedom, she tracks Emma to a small town, only to face a heartbreaking obstacle: Emma has amnesia and has no memory of Ivy or their life together. The world-building maintains a gritty, post-apocalyptic atmosphere where supernatural beings deal with very human problems like grief, trauma, and unrequited love. The narrative explores the psychological toll of Ivy’s two-decade isolation and the frustration of being a stranger to the person you love most. Unlike many romances where the reunion is a relief, Broken Angel treats the reunion as a new beginning fraught with tension, as Ivy must decide how much of their shared past to force upon an Emma who doesn't remember her. It’s best read after Broken Demon to fully appreciate the setting, though the central romance between Ivy and Emma stands on its own emotional merits. If you liked the first book you definitely need…
Amazing Second Installment!
This book grabbed me right away and never let go. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I did the first in the series, but it ended up being incredible! I will say that you should definitely read the first book before diving into this one because it will be much easier to understand with the full backstory. Also, it’s just amazing. The world-building is one of my favorites here, but the characters are on another level. A demon desperately searching for her angel wife after twenty years apart is already compelling, but the added twist of amnesia makes it hurt in the best way. Ivy is fierce, loyal, and heartbreakingly patient, and it’s impossible not to root for her. The past possession storyline adds an eerie, thoughtful layer that makes the world feel lived-in and strange in a good way. Emma’s lack of memory creates a constant ache, especially as Ivy has to watch her fall into a whole new life. The small-town setting contrasts nicely with the apocalyptic backstory and keeps the story grounded. The romance is tender, angsty, and slow-burn without feeling dragged out. I highly recommend picking it up if you’re looking for a second-chance love story that’s equal parts supernatural drama and emotional gut punch.
