Description

Ronan was meant to stay in the ground, but he wakes instead among a field of corpses, his hands stained with blood and his mind a haunting blank. Haunted by a volatile, predatory force clawing at his insides, he finds himself drawn back to the shadows of Hollow Pines. There, he confronts Gideon Ward, the local mechanic and witch whose presence hums against Ronan’s skin with a familiarity that defies his missing memories. Gideon knows Ronan is a man reconstructed by secrets, but the truth is far more dangerous than he anticipates. As fractured recollections claw their way to the surface, they expose a shared history that was meticulously erased—a history where their paths were never meant to diverge. Now, hunted by dark forces determined to forge Ronan into a living weapon, the two men are tethered by a curse they can barely comprehend. In this explosive series finale, the lines between past and present blur. With their town sliding toward inevitable violence, Ronan and Gideon must fight to reconcile a bond that time couldn’t sever. They are left with a harrowing choice: can their love endure the scars of their past, or are some ghosts truly destined to remain buried?

Incredible ending

I hate Silas. Now that it’s out there, I can was poetic about the beauty of this book. The story is incredibly, the action is fantastic, the pacing is perfect, the romance is top notch, but the thing that sticks out the most to me is the way the author writes. His words weave a story so clearly that you can see it. I don’t think I could watch a movie made based on this series because I have a very clear image of how everyone should look, how they sound, and nobody fits. And 90% of the beauty of this book is what is created in the silence, the gorgeous explanations that aren’t always in dialogue, and carry so much weight and power. It feels like Gideon’s magic is oozing out of the pages, and you can feel it pulling you in. Like the scene with Martha “I stayed with her until her hand told me it was over”. That right there, man, heartbreakingly beautiful, and carrying so much meaning. It’s just beautiful to read. I fell in love with this author on the first book, and each subject book just gets better. It’s a pleasure to read, not only because the story is fantastic, but how the story is made, the thousands of little moments that amount to something incredible makes it even better. There are lighthearted moments as well, mostly thanks to Mason and Cal, because they’re goofballs, and all of these moments, the good, the bad, the ugly, the painful, the nerve wracking, all of these moments make a fantastic book, and I’m sorry to see them go. It’s been a beautiful ride, and I just…

My Favorite of the series

Once again, I saw wow. I can't believe this is the finaly book, I love these stories to much. This one was just as intense, the action top tier, the spice is so good. Ugh Ronan, he's definitely my favorite, the fight Gideon and him go through is a lot. I cried multiple times, got some major goosebumps and again just in awe.
