Description

At thirty-eight, Sandro Zanetti knows his professional hockey career is nearing its final period. Focused on leading the Vermont Trailblazers to a historic third consecutive championship, Sandro has no room for distractions—especially not the intrusive documentary crew assigned to shadow the team. His professional composure shatters the moment he realizes the director behind the lens is none other than Bennett Jackson. Fifteen years ago, Bennett was Sandro’s college sweetheart, the man who captured his heart before abruptly breaking it. Now, Bennett is fighting for his own career, desperate to turn this project into the comeback that will save his reputation. Being forced into such close quarters, the two men find that the sting of their past is quickly eclipsed by a spark that time never managed to extinguish. As the cameras roll, the boundaries between the professional project and their personal history blur. Old jokes resurface, long-buried regrets are laid bare, and their undeniable chemistry burns brighter than ever. With the pressure of the playoffs mounting and their professional futures hanging in the balance, Sandro and Bennett must decide if they are destined to repeat their past mistakes or if they have finally found the perfect script for a second chance.

Great Book

Loved this story. It was about two hockey players who split up at the end of their rookie year and get reunited when it is one of theirs ending of his hockey career. I love a good reunited story and this was one of the best I have read in awhile. I highly recommend it.

A second chance at a second chance…

A truly sweet second chance story for Sandro Zanetti and his college sweetheart and teammate Bennett. Plus we get to see Kyle Dabbs and the rest of the Trailblazers from the previous book as well as being introduced to Eli and Nolan, whose tale is Book 3. The only thing I found interesting was the bit in this book where Sandro says Kyle is ‘straight’ while also mentioning that Kyle is dating Rylan Zervaduchi (book 1) which is confusing and totally messes up the continuity of the book series. Anyway, this is a good read and I liked that the hurt happened in the past and neither MC attempted to hurt the other when they finally reconnected.

Beautiful Second Chance Romance

Bennett and Sandro reunite after fifteen years apart. Older and wiser and still in love with each other. There's a little hockey, a lot of found family and flirty fun banter.

Low angst second chance

***THANK YOU TO the author FOR MY COMPLIMENTARY REVIEW COPY. ALL OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ARE MY OWN*** This was a decent, entertaining second chance romance. It was fairly low angst with a fairly believable plot but it didn’t blow me away. One of my pet peeves is an excess of characters in a scene; there were times there were too many names being thrown around that I had a hard time knowing who was who. Additionally, this story was told in 3rd person and there was at least one time the POV switched mid section that was a bit confusing. Overall, it’s a good read if you want something easy and light.

So Sweet!

Sandro and Bennett got their second chance romance and it was so sweet! I'm loving this new series so far. All the men at different stages of their lives finding love is wonderful. I got all the feels with Sandro and Bennett and loved that there was no third act break up. Considering their prior relationship, this story didn't need that plot point at all. I can't wait for the next couple!
