Description

When Emma and Sophie’s paths cross again after years of silence, the flicker of a dormant connection threatens to ignite into a fire neither can extinguish. Once inseparable best friends, their relationship had been dismantled by the messy complications of youth and unspoken desires. Now, as they navigate the bittersweet landscape of adult life, the past is never truly behind them. This story masterfully explores the intricate boundaries of a blossoming romance between two women who thought they had moved on. As they begin to navigate their shared history and secret attractions, they must confront not only the fallout of their previous departure but also the fluid nature of their own hearts. Harper Bliss weaves a tender, heartfelt narrative that centers on the courage required to pursue love the second time around. At its core, And Then She Kissed Me is a nuanced examination of bisexuality and the profound intimacy found in lifelong friendships. It captures the frantic, stomach-flipping thrill of a first kiss that feels both brand new and achingly familiar. For readers who cherish slow-burn emotional journeys and the messy, beautiful reality of second-chance love, this book serves as a poignant reminder that some bonds are simply destined to return.

Another great read from Harper Bliss

"About that Kiss" is my favorite Harper Bliss novel (and one of my favorite lesbian romance novels, period), and I was psyched that Ida and Faye are mentioned in this novel, even just in passing. Sadie Ireland isn't as huge a star as Ida and Faye. Come to think of it, it would have been cool and would have made more sense if Ava and Charlie from "Release the Stars" made an appearance, as they are Charlie works in TV and all. "Release the Stars" is also another amazing Harper Bliss book, and I'm happy that she is creating this fictional universe of Hollywood lesbians in their 40s/50s.. Anyway, I love me a second chance storyline, and this delivered on all those feels. Not super angsty though, so no gut-wrenching scenes. Sadie's characters is really well-developed, as the book goes into her abandonment issues quite a bit. The part where Devon encounters a poly person is so spot on for trying to date people these days. Harper Bliss was able to capture the California surfer vibe, but I had a great big laugh when the brother says he was "knackered" from a long day of surfing or whatever. No born and bred California dude would ever say that, lol. In any case I was transported to the beach as I read this, and I really did like the two MCs.

very cute LGBTQ+ beach read

Sweet story, fast read. Great for the beach! Albeit a little predictable, it’s nice to see the “damaged” girl win sometimes.

Hot, steamy romance

I enjoyed this book about love, loss and reconnection. Steamy lesbian love scenes, what's not to like? Oh, unless you're straight. If you're straight this isn't a book for you.

didn’t want it to end…..

As always with Harper’s books, I didn’t want it to end. She does such a great job developing likable characters, back stories, interesting plot and glorious, delicious love scenes who would want her lovely novels to end. I also like how she overlaps the lives and appearances of some characters from her different no els.

A wonderful friends to lovers/2nd chance love story!

After a divorce, and now on hiatus, Sadie Ireland has come home. Devon Douglas doesn't know what she'll do if/when she sees Sadie for the first time in 24 years since their friendship broke. Devon has been in love with Sadie and when they were 16, she kissed Sadie, only to have her face slapped and no more friendship. Now Sadie's back, and Devon has a kid, Finn who is 4. What will happen? This is a wonderful friends to lovers/2nd chance love story. You'll love the main characters and the secondary characters too. 5 stars!
