Jem is kind and snarky and a beautiful soul. While on paper they don’t work reality it could be so much more. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some have quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills. Authors blurb: Rock star River Wild has always been a magpie. He likes shiny, ephemeral things. Now that his bandmates have decided to prioritize their health and families and quit the Flat Tires, though, River’s tendencies have become self-destructive. All That Glitters is the perfect rom-com read. It has funny banter, fake dating and chemistry for days. Jem reluctantly signs up to be a sugar baby after going through some financial troubles. The last thing he expects to find is a real genuine connection with someone. River is a serial playboy. He always finds the shiniest prizes at parties and brings them home only to have them rob him. His manager decides enough is enough and signs him up for a sugar baby. When Jem and River meet they instantly have a connection. It was so fun watching g them navigate a relationship while also maintaining a fake dating scenario. Of course at some point it’s no longer fake and the two devolop real feelings for each other. This book was a fun time and I really enjoyed reading it. My one qualm was that the end felt very rushed after the third act. I would have liked to see more of Jem and River once they reconnected, but other than that I really enjoyed it.

Loved it so so so so so so much. I knew they HAD to end up together…and yet I was still so engulfed in the emotion of it all.

Complex Jem and the adorable Jem shouldn't fit together but they mesh perfectly. Storyline is a modern fairytale that could be trite but isn't because of excellent writing and the depth of character given to the protagonists and side characters. Finished it at 2 AM because I had to know the HEA. Recommended to bring smiles.

Fake dating has never been so much fun. Jem is a kindergarten teacher with severe money problems. His best friend convinces him to sign up on the sugar baby app. River is a rock legend drawn to shiny items including men. Three times in less than a year, his one night stands have robbed him blind. His personal assistant wants him to hire a bodyguard, or at least a fake boyfrienm"d. They're perfect for each other. The PA's advice is to "not make it easy for him", so Jem doesn't tell River what he does for a living. Which leads to some wild guesses. There's also the only one question per day rule. The guesses are, again, quite good. And they reveal far more than they bargained for. Total RomCom. The "don't fall for him" rule gets broke with one kiss. Age gap. Opposites attract. The banter is snarky and fun. The sizzle is quite nice. The found family around them are there mostly to bust on our MCs. A quick, fun read. I haven't read much from this author, but I've never been disappointed/ I received an advance copy of this e book and this is my review.
