Description

Quincy Battles walks through life encased in a shadow of her own design. Tasked with settling a blood-soaked generational feud to secure her daughter’s future, Quincy is ready to do whatever it takes to survive—even if it means embracing the darkness. But her cold, calculated world is upended the moment a blue Mustang rolls into Coven, carrying the most unexpected variable imaginable: Quinntessa Dawson. Quinntessa is everything Quincy isn’t—glitter-obsessed, bright-eyed, and a star athlete blissfully unaware that she has parked her car in the heart of a supernatural hellscape. Between the freckles and the infectious energy, Quinntessa becomes a dangerous distraction that threatens to unravel the carefully constructed walls Quincy has built around her heart. As the lines between duty, desire, and survival blur, the stakes skyrocket. Quincy is caught in a lethal trap: protect her family or succumb to the pull of a woman who represents everything she’s forced to renounce. With a nemesis lurking in the wings and a target painted squarely on Quinntessa’s back, Quincy must decide how much of her soul she is willing to sacrifice. In the woods of Coven, some secrets don’t just kill— they consume.

Great sequel!

Oh, wow, what a intense book! I loved it! I admire how well-written this story is. It made me go through all range of emotions during reading it! Suspense through the whole book. I was sad, excited, angry, happy.. I cried and laughed so many times. The chemistry between Quincy and Quinntessa was so palpable. Their pull towards each yother so visible. I wish there were more from their POV. Their anxiety, trauma, experiences were very well described. I felt sucked in this book so fast. And that special song Quincy wrote… it is just beautiful! Made me cry so many times. Amazing thing was to listen to it on Spotify. Again great playlist as chapter titles. I can’t wait for the next book!

The longing, oh my wow

I was not sure what direction we would go or how this would wrap up. Personally I loved it. So much to relate to and also super twisted. I was in it from the beginning and was so sad the next book was not ready for me to get into. The love story really is one for the ages. I can’t wait to find out what’s next, FOR ALL OF THEM!

Exciting and enthralling

Seven months after reading Hearts and Stars, the first book of The Coven Chronicles, I finally met Quinn and Quincy again. In all honesty, I vaguely remember what happened in the first book, but as I read through Aces and Arrows, memory came back to me and let me tell you… it left me as excited and enthralled as before. I couldn’t put it down either. You have to be tough to read this book, the whole series in fact. I lost count of how many times I had to fight off tears and I’m not ashamed to say that I lost the battle at a certain point because… How long can you hold on when you keep getting kicked in the guts so many times? I absolutely enjoyed getting some insight into Quincy’s life, her mindset, her struggles with her family, her feelings for Quinn, and the constant conflict raging within herself. In my review of Heats and Stars, I said I was waiting to read Quincy’s side of the story before expressing what I thought of her. Well. She is messed up, but she has a heart and a willingness to be and do better that I can only appreciate. I also previously said that I had strong words for Quinn’s father (this stands even more so after reading the second book), but Quincy’s father can join the club too. Both are bad. Both deserve to get their karma. The hold The Coven Chronicles series has on me is unbelievable. Its grip is so strong I need the rest of it like right now, but I will be patient as good things come to those who wait.

Perfect second book!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ # Pages: 631 Publication Date: 03.12.25 “And I think you’re punch-me-in-the-face beautiful, but we all can’t be dreamers you’d actually do it.” 🖤 Sapphic Dark Romance 🖤 Cult 🖤 Forbidden Love 🖤 Stalker/ Protector 🖤 Morally Grey FMC 🖤 Criminal Underworld 🖤 Good Vs. Evil 🖤 LGBTQ+ Rep 🖤 Female Football Player **Book Summary** Careful, babygirl. This devil has a pretty face. When Quincy Battles is assigned to end a generational feud in exchange for her daughter’s safety, she’s prepared to mourn the loss of a classmate. However, her focus slips when a blue Mustang pulls through Coven and brings a glittery, pink-loving, football player into her world of misery. Quinntessa Dawson is a distraction. A freckled-face, beautiful distraction. She’s ignorantly unaware of the danger that haunts these woods; unaware of how close to the devil she truly stood. It might be harder to protect her family than Quincy originally thought. With a light finally entering her dark, underground hellscape, there’s only a matter of time before Quinntessa learns the truth behind Quincy and her sins. If Quincy didn’t strike first, she’d suffocate at the hands of these infectious sensations, the daughter of her father’s nemesis, and Coven’s newest sparkly football player, has tormented her with. “Aces and Arrows” by Phoenix Kathryn was a captivating read. A perfect follow up to book one, “Hearts and Stars.” I think their world building and character development was…
