Hudson gets served divorce papers right when he thought he was going to be getting everything he has ever wanted. He’s wanted to be a dad for as long as he could remember. With no place to go he asks Adrian if he could stay with him until he finds a new place.
Adrian had been crushing on straight Hudson for years and he’s not in any hurry for him to move out. He also opens Hudson’s eyes on other options of becoming a father.
I loved Adrian and Hudson’s relationship. I thought they both were adorable and happy with how they became a couple.
Love in the sweetest way 🫶🏼
When I went in to this book I had no idea I would love Adrian and Hudson the way I do now. Lexi Amber has this way of just making you laugh and giggle while simultaneously falling head over heels for her characters. I love the Chicago Awakenings Series. There is no doubt that it has easily became one of my comfort reads. These books take real life scenarios that most people experience in their lives and show you that even after everything you still have the chance to love and be loved properly. It also helps that there is always plenty of comedic relief. When I first met Adrian I liked him a lot. Getting to know more about him I fell head over heels for this sweet man and don’t get me started on Hudson. That man is the absolute picture of sunshine. He is so loving and has such pure intentions for everyone around him. They both are just the epitome of love, care and respect for not just one another but everyone they surround themselves with.
Hudson
This man deserves the world and Im so glad he has Adrian right there to always remind him of that. Listen I get not wanting kids, but Shelby, ya days are numbered girl. How she treated Hudson was so heartbreaking. However I loved the growth it gave him. He finally saw that he didn’t need to rely on anyone else for his happiness (Even if he was codependent as crap with Adrian) (super cute by the way, he always just wants to be with him and I was SWOONING) When he finally got the chance to become who he wanted to be he took it and…

A roommates to Lovers slow burn!
Hudson Roy loves his job. He plays hockey professionally in Chicago, it's his last season, and he can't wait to start a family with his ex-supermodel wife...
...until she has him served with divorce papers in the middle of a post game press conference.
Hudson is shocked, and luckily, his friend and the team's assistant to the president, Adrian, is there to offer him a place to stay.
Adrian has always harbored a crush on the straight hockey player, and now that they're roommates, it's even harder. Hudson is perfect: considerate, sweet, thoughtful, sexy...the list goes on.
But as Hudson includes Adrian in more and more of his life and the lines blur, Adrian has to make sure the boundaries stay clear. As much as he would love for their relationship to become more, Adrian knows that lusting after a straight man only ends in heartache.
What to expect...

I loved Hudson. He was such a Golden retriever of a man, an absolute gem all around. I liked Adrian as well, but MAN, he certainly knew how to rain on his own parade. lol Bro, don't look a gift horse in the mouth when he's offering you everything! I also loved Hudson's efforts to go…
