D'Vauhn and Kris Plan a Wedding is one of my favorite reads, and I have not stopped recommending it since I read it, so I was really excited to get to another book by this author. This one was a different vibe, but still so good. I really loved the friendship between Cyn and Juleesa, and I was invested in this friends to lovers story right from the start. I loved the family and found family, and friendships. I also loved the normalization of Juleesa's career as a dancer, and I adored the plus size positivity. I will say if you are not a fan of non communication this one may not be for you, because there were times I just wanted to scream "just tell her how you feel", but I also feel like that is the way with a lot of friends to lovers. This one has so much of the things I love about romance and I know that I will be reading whatever this author writes next!

Cyn and Juleesa have the kind of friendship that doesn’t come around every day, but when their platonic love ignites into passionate attraction, they’ll each have to deal with hangups and fears to save their friendship and maybe even build it into something more.
A Little Kissing Between Friends is a lively, funny, and heartwarming sapphic romance with vibrant characters and entertaining dialogue. Cyn and Juleesa’s road from friendship to romance is hot but realistically bumpy. Fortunately, they’re blessed with a beautiful and eclectic community to help them clear the obstacles and recognize what’s right in front of them. With two main settings for this book being the music studio where Cyn produces award-winning tracks and the strip club where Juleesa is the star dancer, this story also delivers on major themes of women’s creativity and empowerment as well as body positivity.
Sapphic fans who like their friends-to-lovers romances sweet and spicy will love A Little Kissing Between Friends.

In my opinion the book was okay. It was a slow read for me and I often contemplated on DNF, but I wanted to know how it ended. The book was super steamy, like the spice was UP THERE! I like how the author depicted sex workers in a positive light as well as two black women who were best friends finding love and joy amongst each other. While this book isn’t one of my favs that I have read recently, I appreciate that it’s a queer contemporary romance that brings a great story to both the lgbtq and black communities. I would recommend this book to anyone who’s looking to read a queer, friends to lovers romance novel.
A supporting cast of dreams ;)
Now this was a friends to lovers I can get behind! Don’t get me wrong I like many a friends to lovers story but this one had me in a chokehold! Cyn and Jucee had so much chemistry and connection right from the beginning. They were best friends. They were family. When a stronger attraction starts to overshadow ‘just friends’ we get to see how these two can (or can’t) navigate into lovers. Or will past fears shut down more than either of them can or want to lose?
