Freaking awesome cowboy romance
I so enjoyed myself - lots of twists & turns but also lots of love!!
Logan gets hit from so many directions and turned around but communication helped - you just feel for these guys and feel so involved with them it's like you all are living life right in front of you!!!!!
Thank you so very much - Lori

Logan is back at the family Ranch, since his New York job ended in failure, but there must be something to do with his life. The Rancho isn’t thriving.
Dakota, Native American Cherokee, is their ranch hand who has loved his work and the ranch is his only home.
What can Logan do to turn things around after his Dad’s heart attack, and he’s in charge?
I like the characters, the new concept for the ranch, the struggles and ideas, plus the romance, sexy times and big hopes.
Enjoy !

Another good book for the series!
I loved book one, and I absolutely loved this book, too. This one is about Logan (Lucas' bestie from book 1) and the handsome ranch hand who works on his family's farm, Dakota. Logan is at a loss. Things didn't work out in New York, and he's back in the small town he swore he'd leave behind forever. He's lost with no direction and what feels like a trail of failure following him around but for now at least he has his family and the Texas sky and it doesn't hurt to have a gorgeous cowboy around either. Dakota was tired of reservation life and his father's drunk ways and left 5 years ago and made himself a home on the Baker Ranch. He mainly keeps to himself as being a Cherokee man in Texas is talked about more than he'd like, and he feels like by opening up, he's only asking for heartbreak. Until he and Logan cross paths. Dakota has been working for Logan's family for awhile but Logan and him haven't really had many interactions though they've noticed each other plenty and when Logan is back home and the attraction they feel for each other is returned they end up on a path neither of them expected. There was doubt and fear in their way, but slowly, things changed, and they got closer and felt a strong connection to the other. But when tragedy strikes and the ranch is at stake they'll have to make hard decisions that could make or break them but even though it gets rough these cowboys ride it out and come together when they need each other the most. I loved loved loved Dakota's…

I thouroughly enjoyed the first book so much, but now this second book in the series is just as good. The characters are so well developed. The storyline is well thought out. Just enough twists and upheaval to keep you riveted. I can't wait for the release for the next two in the series.
i enjoyed this book for the most part. The writing style is easy, flows smoothly and the story wove images in my mind like i was watching a movie. The friendship, respect and romance between Logan and Dakota was convincing and heartwarming. Those are the good parts. Overall, i liked it.
I know this book is part of a series, but i am not sure i will continue onto them. One issue for me that, I think will exist in all his books, there are way too many detailed sex scenes. It seemed to be every other chapter, maybe not that much, but felt like “wow, another sex scene that was almost copy and pasted from the others”. One or two detailed sex scenes in a book is good, fun and probably necessary for any MM romance book, i suppose. I guess i am more of a romantic and a demisexual and care more about the relationship and their deepening connection. After awhile i felt like i was reading soft porn and skipped lots of pages. It was a bit overdone (although not as raunchy as Dick Parker books) and not my taste. I feel that the author could have put more into the growing relationship with more history of each of their lives. I think i will stick with similar cowboy MM ranching books in the Spruce, TX series by Daryl Banner.
